Thinking about Dianne Feinstein passing away, I’m reminded of the impression she had on me during both of my opportunities to work in the Senate.
In 2001, I was Coro Fellow in her LA field office. Letters containing anthrax were being sent to Senators shortly after 9/11. She conveyed the importance of gov staying open for business despite risks to staffer opening potentially-deadly letters while wearing a mask and gloves.
