There is a good new Tyondai album out. Can’t believe I didn’t make a “werk hard/splay hard” joke.

Obsessed with the curious sounds on Tyondai Braxton's new record. It's all over the place but never feels disorganize. This is a standout album in a year that's been filled with great electronic music.

Part of the reason Lynch's death hits so hard is that he was the last American filmmaker before the arts became so thoroughly corporatized that nothing like his work could ever slip through to the mainstream again. There'll never be another Lynch because Lynches aren't allowed.
