Imagine the terror of being hung upside down by steel chains while alive and fully conscious. 💔
This is the brutality #cows routinely experience behind the closed doors of slaughterhouses in the #meat industry 😫 @weanimals

🆘🆘 PRINCESS LEIA (ID 253126), PREVIOUSLY CALLED LEIA, 2 YO, FEMALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an aco - impound on 4/27/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿
🆘🆘 UPDATE – UPDATE – POOR POOR PRINCESS LEIA WAS RETURNED TO THE EPL ON 10/18/26 – LITERALLY ON BORROWED TIME NOW – BEYOND URGENT – LET’S HELP HER GET SAFE🆘🆘
➡️TBD 10/20/26
➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST
➡️🆘🆘 10TH Chance on Emergency Placement List – 10 TIMES IS ALMOST UNPRECEDENTED – AND SHELTER AT CAPACITY - ALL HANDS ON DECK - NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT/HELP PRINCESS LEIA - HIGHEST EU/SILENT KILL RISK- VERY LIKELY LAST CALL🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱
➡️ 174 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT
➡️ PRINCESS LEIA IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display challenging behavior during interactions. Along with overstimulation, she is now displaying signs of frustration and deterioration, swatting and hissing upon approach and being minimally open to interaction. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥
What my friends at ACC say about me: 👑 Meet Princess Leia! ✨🐾 Princess Leia is a playful little queen with a personality all her own! This beautiful girl knows what she likes-and playtime is definitely at the top of the list. Give her a feather wand, mouse, ball, or toy dancer and prepare to watch her pounce, bat, kick, toss, roll, and genuinely have the time of her life! 🧸💕 Leia also enjoys the finer things in life, including tasty treats, cozy lounging, and the occasional head scratch from her favorite humans. She'll happily come to the front of her kennel to say hello, solicit attention, and accept treats. Like any true princess, Leia has her boundaries. She prefers short interactions and appreciates having the freedom to decide when she's ready for more attention. If she becomes overstimulated, she may let you know with a swat or by walking away. Giving her space when she asks for it is the best way to earn her trust, and she may surprise you by coming right back when she's ready! 👑 Leia needs a little time to settle into a new home and get comfortable with her people. She would do best with an experienced adopter who understands feline body language and is happy to let her relationship develop at her own pace. An adult-only home would likely be the perfect kingdom for this independent girl. If you're looking for a playful, spirited cat with a royal attitude and plenty of personality, Princess Leia is ready to meet you today. Bring treats! 💕🐱✨ A volunteer writes: Princess Leia is a sweet, beautiful girl, only about 3 years old. She is friendly and playful but from my interaction would do best with someone who really "gets" cats and can read their body language. Leia enjoys meeting new people however I could tell that she may get a bit overstimulated at times, although my interaction with her was very positive. I can't blame her for wanting someone who understands her, don't we all?❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻

Leia tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. A volunteer writes: Leia is a sweet, beautiful girl, only about 3 years old. This polar bear died of starvation in its homeland, which is supposed to be teeming with prey. Photographer and biologist Paul Nicklen, who has spent more than 30 years in the Arctic, says that during most of those years he only came across one dead polar bear, and then within just two weeks his team found two that had died of starvation. Polar bears rely on sea ice to hunt seals, and with rising temperatures and receding ice, the search for food becomes longer and more difficult, potentially ending with some of them dying of hunger.

He deserves to have his feelings - and ability to suffer - taken into consideration. @JohnOberg
When we see a video on social media, many of us think that it’s a “one-off.” 👀
But most of these animals live on factory farms, and the rest are still sent to slaughterhouses at the end of their lives. 💔
Their feelings are not considered when they are looked at as money making machines. 😔
The best way for you to help animals, is to stop paying for them to be exploited. It’s that simple. 🙏

Factory farming is scary. 💔 Babies repeatedly face a life filled with relentless exploitation. Their cries for freedom go unheard, as they are treated as mere machines.
This Halloween season show kindness to animals by choosing plant-based foods.

💔The heartbreaking story of 💔#WangWang
⛔️ALWAYS 🇨🇳#CHINA‼️
This account is dedicated to raising awareness about the dog and cat meat trade in Asia and Africa. Because that is our mission in this world.
But that doesn't exclude our immense love for every animal on this earth, and our hatred and anger at hearing news of any act of torture against any animal, especially our outrage toward China, the country where yet another act of extreme cruelty has taken place.
In Guangdong's Jieyang, five infamous demoniacs teenagers brutally slaughtered a stray dog and her family.
Her name was #WangWang. She was 1 year old and had 3 puppies (14 days old). On June 28, her babies were beaten to death. She was burned alive and tortured. Before her death, she licked her puppies one last time.
📛THESE MONSTERS WILL NOT BE PUNISHED
The 5 satanic monsters shockingly reposted their past cat abuse videos online, taunting and showing off to netizens. They show no remorse for their previous savage acts, even arrogantly declaring that they will continue to abuse and kill other innocent cats and dogs in the future—their behavior is utterly outrageous.
