Addressing the overdose crisis and the toxic drug supply must be treated with a focus on human rights and public health and not enforcement. In Red Deer, there is a serious lack of adequate facilities for evidence-based treatment, harm reduction services and shelter accommodation
Join us this International Overdose Awareness Day (August, 31st) for an evening of community connection as we gather in memory of all those we've lost to our Nation's rising #overdose crisis. All members of the public are welcome to attend this free event! fb.me/e/1wsorFVEq

That’s gotta be a record, 3000 syringes and 415 glass distributed today in one community. Don’t let ‘em tell ya there’s no need for #RuralHarmReduction out here in Central Alberta 👀

Have you thought to yourself, “holy $*^% it’s cold outside!”…now think how cold it is for our unhoused neighbours. Please consider donating any gently used and/or new winter gear to local organizations.

Happy #GivingTuesday
If you find yourself in a position to support some local causes today, I know that the folks down at @TurningPointAB are always very grateful for any help, whether it be monetary, food, winter gear, gift cards for clients, toiletries etc. ❤️
We can simultaneously reach out to those at risk of falling through the cracks and ask ourselves why anyone is so perilously close to the cracks at all. Let's build something better. Together. #GivingTuesday

People who use alcohol, cannabis, and tobacco have multiple pathways to accessing a safe & regulated supply that's specific to the substance & promotes public health & safety. The same approach should be taken with opioids, stimulants, & other unregulated drugs. Drugs are drugs!
