A striking snapshot of Washington鈥檚 direct involvement in Ukraine鈥檚 political upheaval.
The same officials who spoke so confidently about democracy were right there amid the turmoil surrounding the removal of a democratically elected president.
This raises an uncomfortable question: was this truly about defending Ukrainian democracy, or about Washington advancing its own geopolitical agenda at Ukraine鈥檚 expense?

Only the BBC could devise a funding model where the solution to people not watching your programmes is to charge them for watching somebody else's.

I love my country. I love my family. I would die to protect my wife and daughters.
But I won't fight for the territorial integrity of another country on behalf of a state that's facilitating an invasion of Britain by thousands of third world rapists.
Hope that clears things up.

It increasingly feels as though we no longer have a country, but a socialist experiment conducted against the backdrop of an illustrious history.
You cannot dismantle a nation鈥檚 culture, create a mess in its place, and then lecture its people that this is what they must now stand for.
Britain already has a splendid culture, a remarkable heritage and a proud national identity. We didn鈥檛 need reinventing.
Yet a small minority of overprivileged, guilt-ridden ideologues seem determined to tear it all down in the name of progress.

Ninety years ago, Britain was top nation. Its population was ~99% white British; today it is 74%. By the 2060s, we will likely be a minority.
I interviewed those who grew up in Britain鈥檚 heyday and witnessed its decline and demographic transformation.

Throwing all the small farmers off their land, making farming more efficient, producing a food surplus that could suppoet large towns, and resulting in starving peasants moving to these towns, where they provided very very cheap labour, which combined with steam engines used to power looms (initially invented to pump water out of coal mines), resulted in absolutely insane productivity in textile factories relative to all of history, with the cheap products then exported abroad, resulting in a huge capital surplus, which was then invested back into factories producing other goods, which were then exported, resulting in more capital accumulation, in the first example of export led development EVER.
Every country that has developed since then has followed the same model.
Colonialism was an outcome, not cause, of this rapid economic development
No country has EVER developed via extraction from other countries ("colonialism"). Anyone that says otherwise is historically ignorant.
UK being a small island actually helps as it could be easily defended, allowing for more freedom internally, as well as internal transport via canals, which was useful as supply chains complicated.
