This one’s personal for me. I’m living proof of what great mentors can do for a kid’s future. Not every young person gets that chance.
Proud to keep backing @BBBSau to help prevent youth crime and build brighter futures.
Let’s all step up. 💪
Proud to be part of the solution. Youth crime headlines are everywhere - real change starts with mentoring!
This week @TullySmith met with @BBBSau CEO Mark Watt, to announce the continuation of our Corporate Partnership for FY 2025/26.

Great meeting today with Marie-Claire Hughes, Ireland’s first Consul-General to Victoria & Tasmania.
Two-way trade now around $7b and growing, big opportunities in fintech, sports tech, med and food & bev. The EU-Australia FTA is a real win for 🇦🇺 beef, lamb, sugar, wine and spirits exporters too 🇦🇺 🇮🇪
Tom Elliott on @3AW693 this morning talking about the Aussie flag. It’s time to retire the Union Jack and embrace a flag that’s uniquely Australian. The greatest nation on earth deserves a flag of its own. What better than the Eureka Flag in green and gold. A design rooted in our history, forged in the spirit of the fair go, and reimagined in our national colours – at Melbourne, Victoria

Vale Derryn Hinch. The Human Headline never softened a view to suit the room, and Melbourne is poorer for his passing. We didn’t always agree politically, but you always knew exactly where he stood, and that’s a rarer thing than it should be. Rest in peace.

Telstra says just under 90% of services are now restored. Meanwhile across the country reports of unprecedented eye contact and random g’days.
A pleasure to meet with Her Excellency Doris Brese, Ghana’s new High Commissioner to Australia.
We discussed the growing opportunities to strengthen trade, investment and economic ties between Australia and Ghana, and the potential for greater collaboration between our two nations.
I look forward to seeing the relationship continue to grow.
First trip on the new Metro Tunnel today. Tapped on and off using my iPhone without a hitch. This is exactly what good public infrastructure should feel like — simple, efficient and user-friendly. Cheers @JacintaAllanMP
As Chairman of the Wyndham Health Foundation, I’m pleased to share that we’ve opened recruitment for a Fundraising and Donor Manager. Join us, support public healthcare and help build a more relationship-driven fundraising model ethicaljobs.com.au/members/w…
Great to meet with Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Australia alongside my associate @jd_scuderi. We had a productive discussion on unlocking trade opportunities, particularly in mining, and strengthening collaboration between our two nations. Looking forward to what comes next.

We’re working to secure the fuel Australia needs with our international partners and longstanding friends.
Today, Prime Minister @LawrenceWongST of Singapore and I agreed to support the flow of essentials goods including petroleum oils, such as diesel, and liquified natural gas between our two countries.
We'll keep working closely as we deal with the impacts of the conflict in the Middle East.
Yes, it’s great value for money @carawaters @theage. It’s fantastic to see a @LordMayorMelb in @Nicholas_Reece who is actually leading Melbourne on the world stage. Let’s all get behind the Mayor in promoting local business, attracting jobs & investment. This is the real leadership our great city needs! theage.com.au/national/victo…
Tonight @designeragnes and I light a candle.
To stand with Australia’s Jewish community.
To condemn violence and hatred.
And to affirm that light, unity and compassion will always be stronger than fear.
🕯️ The Jewish Council of Australia is encouraging Aussies to stand with the Jewish community by lighting a candle in a window at 6:47pm on Monday night.
@designeragnes and I will be joining in this gesture tonight, that honours the festival of Hanukkah, an annual Jewish celebration of light and miracles.
Great to see Australia leading on partnerships that build a safer, cleaner and more innovative region.
Working with India and Canada on tech, energy and critical minerals is a smart, future-focused move. Well done @AlboMP
Couldn’t agree more, @MarkJCarney. Canada’s leadership in building new trade partnerships opens the door for even deeper Australia–Canada collaboration. With our shared values, complementary industries, and focus on innovation, there’s huge potential to create jobs, unlock investment, and expand markets on both sides of the Pacific. 🇦🇺🇨🇦
Today I had the privilege of visiting @intime_tec’s EU HQ at the High Tech Campus, Eindhoven in The Netherlands. @smithstrategic_ is proud to partner with ITT. Thanks to Venkatesh Bachu & Rakesh Sawan for hosting. Exciting times ahead — as ITT’s CEO Jeet Kumar says, Let’s Go!
This is exactly the direction we need. AI is already a core part of workplaces and the future economy, our schools must embrace AI so students can lead the way. Great to see South Australia making it happen.
The use of artificial intelligence in schools is a controversial one but South Australia has embraced it. From next term, all public high schools will have access with authorities promising it will only be used for the right reasons. @HanniHowe #7NEWS
