Oh hello, I (Tony) made a thing, and I need your help! Gas is really expensive. It is hard to find the best prices, and even harder to find the best prices for alternative fuels like R99 diesel, biodiesel, e85, etc. OpenFuel.app is a crowdsourced fuel app for regular gas + alternative fuels, with gamification in the form of "capturing territory" and gaining population when you submit prices. Steal the top spot from me on the leaderboard ๐
Price submission is quick and easy, either snap a pic of the station sign, or the pump, and the app extracts the prices for you quickly and automatically, you simply select the right station (if there are multiple nearby) and submit.
The app has value even without crowdsourced prices because even finding stations with these alternative fuels is difficult, and the app has all the information for locations already, just no prices. But obviously much more value helping users find the best prices once we get a big user base.
This is very beta still and things will break, but I thought it was finished enough I just need to release it and get prices starting to come in. Respond here when you find issues or send me emails. No apps on the app stores yet, but it can be installed as an app via the browser "add to homescreen" option. Goal is to release native apps on the stores eventually.
I'll make a video about it soon too, Twitter posts don't gain a lot of traction usually, especially those linking to external things like this
I think it is actually kinda fun to use and capture area and will be genuinely useful for people, which is one of my big life goals as I work on things outside of TGD "help people with things in real life"
Thanks for reading, plz help. Retweets and interactions appreciated as well to try to get it out to more people

My plea to Democrats in Congress is this: get back to Washington. Even if you can't gavel in from recess. Even if you don't have a quorum. Even if another war powers resolution vote fails. It's not enough to Tweet. Get inside the building and show the world you are trying. NOW!

Any student of history will tell you this is an extremely dangerous moment.
People like Trump who make wild threats to do insane homicidal things again and again are full of shitโuntil they arenโt.
All the safeguards are gone.
The generals have been removed.
Our allies have been alienated.
Congressional Republicans will follow Trump to the apocalypse.
We really are on the razorโs edge of total disaster here and millions if not billions of lives hang in the balance.

Media ADHD: "Ooh, look a squirrel! Let's go ride bikes!"
Real ADHD: "I am currently ruining my own life by refusing to perform a 3-minute task that would solve 90% of my anxiety.
I am fully aware of this. I am screaming internally. I physically cannot make my body stand up and do it. And yes it as stupid to me as it is to you.

First video on the new channel is live. It is about how to save huge amounts of money each year with minimal effort. Who doesn't like free money? I also explain the ethos of the new channel. Fully community "patreon" funded, not sponsored, no ads, etc
