Putin is trying to reenact Yalta, but this time with only dictators dividing the world.

As Trump said, it's just a little cooperation. A couple of satellite images, a few ballistic missiles, some Americans killed, maybe a little nuke for Iran... no biggie.

I like the idea and the tone, but honestly I don't think it's doable. This is not like cracking the code of some iPhone. It's most likely that you would brick your entire fleet trying to do this, and it would take years. Hope to be wrong.

Well, it's all condemnation but no action. No urgent session of Congress, no subpoenas, no hearings. At another level, nobody at the US armed forces has thrown an angry resignation letter bc they don't want any part on betraying an ally. So, why not continue...? Do something.

In other words: when the big country attacks the smaller one, kills and rapes civilians and kidnaps its children, the small one should submit itself to the mercies of the bully in the hopes that he will just stop doing what he has been doing for 5 years. Sound plan.

Hey Palmer, that’s like the school principal slipping the class bully $20 for protection money, then telling the kids, 'Hey, the rest of the school gives him way more than I do.'

The worst of them all are those who fully understand what they're doing and the consequences. And they still go along with it.

If that's so, why hasn't said "investigation" started a week ago, when Starshield was first tampered with? When is the first hearing? When the first subpoena to the Pentagon? What the f are you waiting for?

It just happened... no warnings on the Russian attack due to a software issue, Starlink doesn't work due to clouds, PURL has been suspended due to a truck having a flat tire, and Trump just threatened to do all this because it was a weekend. Nothing to see here... a coincidence.

Another good one for Putin: Trump and Musk destroyed any prospects of selling more weapons to NATO countries since nobody knows when they might brick them on a whim.

I love how he acknowledges that Russia is helping Iran, and at the same time that unless he gives something to Russia, they will help kill scores of US troops. Also, they took hostages andif he's a good boy they might not kill them. Russia is such a good friend...!

This thread is gold. Unfortunately as Carl Sagan used to fear, we live in a complex technological world in which fewer and fewer people have an understanding of said technology. And that makes them prone to trust charlatans that “make it simple” for them. Like Medieval times.

And a massive warning for Canada: do we really want to buy F-35s?

Hold your horses. It’s still early days. After Jan 6th many criticized Trump (remember the guy that was “done with him”…?). And a few weeks later they were kowtowing to him again. Never trust them.

In other words: the US is an ally of Russia. The ghosts of Ukrainian civilians murdered by Russia will also haunt Americans for generations to come.

"Allowing Canada to have a healthcare system". To all those imbeciles supporting Trump in Canada: listen to that.

Agreed. But that includes your decision to endorse Trump, knowing perfectly well that he was compromised by Russia. Twice.
