HOT FUZZ was released 18 years ago today. The second entry in Edgar Wright’s Cornetto Trilogy and one of the most beloved British comedies this century, the tale of how it was made is like firing two guns whilst jumping through the air… 1/46

⛔️ BEWARE OF UNSAFE ICE ⛔️ As we are currently experiencing an extended period of below-freezing temperatures, we figured it would be a good idea to post this refresher on ice safety. Given the fluctuations between cold and warmer temperatures we've experienced this winter, it's crucial to remember that many lakes are only beginning to see the formation of ice and are not safe in many areas. Before stepping onto any frozen lake, it's vital to assess the ice thickness. Remember, just because a surface appears frozen, it doesn't guarantee it's strong enough to support your weight, let alone a vehicle. Here are some essential ice safety tips: 1. Check Ice Thickness: Ice should be at least 10-15 cm thick for walking or skating alone, 15 cm for snowmobiles, and 20-30 cm for light vehicles. 2. Carry Safety Equipment: Always have ice picks, a rope, and a floatation device with you. 3. Avoid Going Alone: It's safer to have a buddy with you, but if you must go alone, inform someone about your whereabouts and expected return. 5. Beware of Ice Color: Clear blue ice is generally stronger than white or opaque ice. Stay away from ice that looks discoloured, has cracks, or is near moving water. 6. Know Rescue Techniques: Familiarize yourself with basic self-rescue techniques in case you fall through. Your safety is important. Venturing onto unsafe ice not only endangers you but also puts emergency responders at risk. Please exercise extreme caution and make informed decisions. Stay safe! - Brennen

We’re probably gonna be unpopular for saying this, but we’re sick of seeing anything to do with ‘I’m a celeb’ The show relies on the abuse and exploitation of animals for cheap laughs and it’s sad that so many people still watch it and seem to have no issue with it!

It's apparently 'International Control Room Week' this week. Appropriately, nobody told us. 😂 Since, as many of you know, I work as a Route Controller in a railway Control, I thought it might be a lark to share (as much as I can...) a 'day in the life' of my desk. 🧵
