We’ve achieved a score of 94% in the Safer Railway Scheme, demonstrating our commitment to creating a safe and secure railway for passengers and colleagues. The accreditation has been announced as @RailSafetyWeek gets underway. The industry-led initiative focuses on rail safety for all. The Safer Railway Scheme sets national standards for rail organisations operating on the UK rail network to improve safety, security and safeguarding. The scheme, launched by the @transportgovuk and @BTP , assesses how rail organisations prevent crime, protect vulnerable people and support passengers and colleagues. Greater Anglia was independently assessed by British Transport Police. To be accredited, organisations must meet a minimum standard, scoring at least 70% overall.
