Yo @wmorrill3 & @Tesla
Can we get some refill stations at COTA and the Giga track instead of relying on onboard refilling for track days for the Roadster?
Replying to @JustinHorn @NotATeslaApp
No I’m sorry. The COPVs in the roadster. Fill tin up before you get to the track, do a lap or a 1/4 mile and drain the COPV tank once, fill it up and in 30 minutes you be good but will have drained some of your battery.
You COULD theoretically have NO2 tanks that can refill the COPV though in a matter of minutes at the tracks.
Actually, that’s not a bad idea at all….
The Eminem hate over the last day has been hilarious to watch.
As an atheist myself, I respect Em and Kid Rock for singing about their faith and leaving politics out of it.
Faith brings people together more than politics separates us.
Rocket Roadster COPV math.
Replying to @JustinHorn @NotATeslaApp
Idk battery % required. But it currently takes hours but it looks like 30 minutes for the Thrust & >45 minutes for Rocket trim on production. (At least that’s what they are aiming for)
My estimate though is that to fill the COPV will take about 20kWh to fill the 200 liters Thrust COPV. At least using SpaceX compressor efficiency that I saw from last year.
That could get better by 2028. But scaling that to 600 liters of the Rocket trim could take like 70 kWh. Soooo, unless efficiency is MUCH better, the 115 kWh battery would only be able to fill the COPV of Rocket trim ONCE fully.
I’m now using my Muse agent to scour Marketplace listings using the profits from my Muse posts.
Ai agents are just money printers.
I mentioned this around SXSW that I spotted this and most didn’t believe me haha
At a Tesla Service Center and spotted a Cybercab being repaired.
See that cable? It’s an Xbox controller plugged in via USB. Got a bit closer and the staff immediately freaked out, telling me to get back behind the restricted area line.
A technician later came over and said I could take photos. I told him I’d already ridden in one before — that wasn’t the interesting part.
“Is that controller actually used to move the car?”
He confirmed yes 😂
Lulz
Did Tesla really wait nearly a decade to finally reveal the "Roadster" (for the 3rd time) and display it as a low polygon ripoff of a Lamborghini Huracan?
And all that gimmicky flying and flipping with thrust is 1000% not going to be road legal or even sales legal.
This isn't some ultra lite that doesn't require a pilots license and the 380mph max speed and 0.8s 0-60 is heavily reliant on forward thrust. Again, not going to ever be allowed on the road... why? Newton Third Law.... imagine someone riding a bike behind the car when someone launches it....
This is just cybertruck 2.0, a stupid product that is more of a SpaceX showcase for small space vehicles than anything automotive related.
The windows are obviously blacked out for a reason.
And people are believing this shit....
Raise your hand if you're still waiting for FSD and actually believe Tesla truly pulled off a flying car
I just heard “the physics of the flying Tesla make no sense at all.”
Oh are you a physicist?
“No I saw it online. It’s obviously fake.”
The roadster instantly made me think the @cybertruck is boring now…
Armchair “rocket scientists” need to actually shut the hell up. Making a fool of yourself.
Just adding my 2 cents to this discourse because it involves some engineering that Hibernaculum deals with;
1) There are what are known as ''mach diamonds'' clearly visible which can only be produced by liquified gases ie rocketry. Not fans. Not compressed gas, or air.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Mach diamonds appear in supersonic exhaust from compressed air cold-gas thrusters, as used in the Tesla Roadster demo; they are not exclusive to rocketry or liquified gases. The vehicle uses an underbody fan suction system for surface adhesion alongside thrusters.
