His son PJ said at the induction ceremony that @GoTransAm was a favorite for Parnelli Jones. Driving in the Trans Am Series from 1967 until 1971, Jones scored seven wins in only 29 races in the series, but his career was enough to make him a HOFer.

The public absolutely respects George Follmer, as do his competitors, and being in the @GoTransAm Hall of Fame means something when you raced surrounded by so much talent. Follmer is Trans Am's first driver champion.

Dan Gurney was a hero of @RayEvernham's, and he was honored to induct him into the @GoTransAm Hall of Fame. A legendary figure in the world of motorsports, Gurney has said that his Trans Am win was the toughest race he ever ran.

Bob Tullius was the 1st. He drove to victory in @GoTransAm's inaugural event, winning the Over 2-Liter class alongside teammate Tony Adamowicz in a four-hour event at @sebringraceway. Of course he had to be in the 1st class of the Hall of Fame.

Roger Penske is one of the greats, not just in the @GoTransAm Series, but in all of motorsports. There was no way that we wouldn't include him in the inaugural class of the Trans Am Hall of Fame, especially since he touched the careers of so many of our other inductees.
If you know anything about @WillyRibbs, you know that there was a lot we had to cut out of his interview. 😂
His motive was never to make it into the @GoTransAm Hall of Fame, but everything about his amazing career led him here.

When @wdjfoundation first went racing in @GoTransAm, he had "no idea" what he was doing. It seems that he figured it out, becoming an inaugural inductee of the Hall of Fame. And the series is still home for him because it's fun to be here.

At just 22, @ErnieFrancisJr’s name was already in the @GoTransAm record books, holding the most combined National Championship wins and being the 1st driver to claim 4-consecutive Trans Am TA titles.

Mark Donohue was special, which is why he is in the inaugural class of the @GoTransAm Hall of Fame.
Donohue was the driver to beat in Trans Am for four seasons, although the record books don’t fully represent Donohue’s greatness.
