One frame. The entire field.

There’s nothing quite like seeing a full field of IROC cars together on one of America’s most iconic road courses.

Jeff Gordon's car from his recent IROC wins during Freedom 250 weekend in Washington DC is now on display at the Hendrick Museum.
This car, a Pontiac Firebird, was actually originally driven by Mark Martin back in the original IROC.

The Unocal 76 World Pit Crew Competition was an October staple on the #NASCAR schedule at Rockingham Speedway from 1967-2003. In recent years, the competition has been interwoven into the All Star event. Jeff Gordon's Rainbow Warriors pit crew won the championship in 1994.

A great competitor, racing against him, made us better. We had to bring our a game the best we had to win against his team
My dad was my hero, my mentor, and the most influential person in my life. I was incredibly fortunate to spend most of my racing career working alongside him and learning from him. My journey started at an early age, from washing bolts and cleaning the shop, to becoming an engine builder and ultimately having the honor of leading his vision at Roush Yates Engines.
Robert believed in people, gave me opportunities, and helped shape the person and who I am today. I will always be grateful for his trust, his guidance, and the love he shared for our family. The Yates family will forever be grateful for my dad and the incredible legacy he left behind. We love you, we miss you, and we will carry your vision and memory with us every day.

One of the grandest men of the old guard, Gordon Johncock. As a driver, he was one of a kind, with an unassuming manner. To him, he wasn't doing anything that special..... and he was. Rest in peace my friend.

Several chapters of racing history in one Camaro.
Al Unser Sr. won with this yellow #2 IROC Camaro in its 1977 debut. Niki Lauda drove it in his only IROC start in 1978, and George Follmer later raced it in Trans-Am.
Today, it’s restored to its original #2 trim. #IROC

Genius of the sport. And one of the truly good guys! Happy birthday @Leonard_Wood!
Happy birthday to NASCAR Hall of Famer Leonard Wood. A mechanical innovator and master crew chief, Wood helped revolutionize the modern pit stop as a member of Wood Brothers Racing. When traditional floor jacks weighed 70 to 80 pounds and required as many as 10 pumps to lift a race car, Wood modified the design so his team could raise a car with just two or three pumps. Wood’s expertise also helped power one of the most successful partnerships in NASCAR history.

On this date [September 17] in 1995: Jeff Gordon led 400 of the 500 laps to win @MonsterMile. The Dover victory extended his points lead to a season-high 309 points. Gordon eventually captured his first #NASCAR championship by 34 points over Dale Earnhardt. Career win #9.
