QNT’s late September 2026 rally (driven by institutional tokenization and interoperability headlines) took it from the $60 to peaks near $370. That move came with extreme volume. Since early October the price has corrected into the $190–200 area on a sharp collapse in spot volume (from roughly the $240M day levels down to single digit millions on major spot books such as Binance). Open interest has also contracted. The recent support zone around $190 has held so far without a high volume breakdown consistent with buyers stepping away more than aggressive selling forcing the price lower. This is a classic post parabolic volume fade and deleveraging phase rather than a fresh fundamental collapse. The market is now thin. Low participation can amplify moves in either direction once a catalyst appears, but it also means conviction is currently weak. Bearish case and considerations: -Volume and open interest have dried up after the blow-off, which often precedes further drift or a sharper test of lower supports if sellers reappear. -The structure remains a lower-highs pattern after the September peak; repeated failure to reclaim higher levels with volume would keep the path of least resistance downward. -Thin books make downside breaks easier once support is lost; a decisive move under the recent ~$190 floor on rising volume could target prior consolidation zones lower. -Speculative interest that fueled the rally has largely exited. Bullish case and considerations -The fundamental narrative (enterprise interoperability and tokenized deposits) that drove the September move has not been invalidated; the correction is largely technical and participation-driven so far. -The low-volume grind lower has not yet produced a high-volume breakdown of the recent floor. Holding ~$190 and eventually seeing spot volume expand on the upside would be a constructive sign of absorption. -Post-parabolic corrections of this size are common; if the broader market stabilizes or institutional headlines reappear, the same thin liquidity that hurts on the downside can accelerate rebounds. -Relative to the pre-rally base, the token remains well above its summer levels despite the pullback. Practical bullish framing: Wait for confirmation, specifically a reclaim of recent resistance on expanding (not collapsing) volume, before treating any bounce as durable. Position sizing should stay modest given the liquidity environment. Overall The volume crash is real and signals that the speculative bid has largely vanished for now. Both sides have merit depending on whether volume and structure improve or deteriorate from here.
