I have been to Kigali and you see a military officer fully armed, stationed strategically within every 10 meters. That country is not peaceful, it's fearful.

Its good deal. Kenya Gov had forced state parastal to buy 65B after market refused tye valuations. Now 45B is offloaded as FDI.Great job. We have 20B more to go. I hope Dangote bought this. We need to extend pipeline to Lamu n make him anchor client
President William Ruto says private investors acquired 25% of Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) from public entities in Monday's KSh 42.5 Bn block trade involving 4.5 Bn shares, equivalent to 24.76% of the company. Attention now turns to major public shareholders, particularly NSSF (22.2%) and the Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority (UFAA), which held 3.06%. Their combined post-IPO stake of 25.26% was sufficient to cover the transaction. The Government of Kenya retained 35%, while Uganda National Oil Company held 20.15%. However, Ruto did not identify the selling institutions or private buyers. No evidence has emerged confirming whether NSSF, UFAA or other public shareholders sold their stakes.

Cisco President Jeetu Patel (@jpatel41) says every Cisco manager will have a token budget within 30 days: "I'm putting a lot of pressure on the team right now to make sure that every manager has a tokenomics app so that they know exactly what their agents are spending and they can regulate the spend." "Your security posture is directly tied to your token efficiency." - Jeetu Patel, President and Chief Product Officer of Cisco, at our AI Assurance & Governance Summit at Stanford on October 1.

To my candid opinion this is a timely message, the jobs are there but our universities are moving too slow. Training graduates in AI tools will actualize the dream of a skilled generation.
Andrew Ng (@AndrewYNg) won't hire software engineers who can't use an AI coding agent. "I think the challenge is not the lack of jobs, the challenge is the slowness of our educational system to adapt, to change, to train graduates to do the jobs that are now in demand." "I think it's really unfortunate that today in many universities, it's still possible to get a bachelor's degree in computer science without having made a single API call or network call to a frontier AI model. And today, I'm not going to hire a software engineer that's never done that." "And frankly, none of my teams will hire a software engineer that doesn't know how to use an AI coding agent." "The trick is I hire only AI-native interns. So the jobs are there, but we've got to fix the educational system." - Andrew Ng, in an interview with The Economist published October 14

The Port of Lamu has welcomed MV Great Glory, a vessel carrying the second batch of heavy project cargo destined for the Dangote East Africa Refinery. The shipment of the 154 assorted heavy machinery equipment to Lamu, is another concrete step in the physical mobilisation of the project that will reshape Kenya's energy landscape and anchor the country's northern region as an industrial hub. This follows an earlier delivery in late September, when the MV Da Yang docked at the port with nearly 3,000 metric tonnes of construction equipment for the refinery. The Dangote East Africa refinery, valued at approximately Sh2.2 trillion, is designed to process up to 700,000 barrels of crude oil per day, making it the largest refining complex in East Africa once completed. It will produce petrol, diesel, and aviation fuel for Kenya and the region. @TransportKE @SDoT_Kenya @mohamed_daghar @davis_chirchir

To my candid opinion both sides matter, governments give the vision and the people actualize the dream. Kigali and Addis are proof of what unity of purpose can achieve.
If there is one thing Ethiopia and Rwanda can teach us, it's that beautiful cities come from the people not the governments. Governments construct and people maintain them.

I'm optimistic that a decade from now, or perhaps less, it will seem unbelievable that we used to wait nine months or more for a specialist. Years for transplants and life-saving medical care to treat diseases.

To my candid opinion this is a timely meeting, with the calibre of elders attending it, many problems facing the communities are going to get solutions at the end of it. I hope it will become a strong tool to unite the nation in peace
Held a consultative meeting with more than 5,000 Kalenjin elders from the North and South Rift at Eldoret State Lodge, Uasin Gishu County.

to my candid opinion this is unfair, Ethiopia's internal conflicts started long before any partnership with the Emirates. Blaming outside countries will not bring peace to Amhara or Tigray, dialogue is what they need
These PP clowns, tho 🤣 #Ethiopia Bro is losing sleep over Paris while not giving a damn about the bloodshed in Amhara and Tigray under his beloved UAE puppet, Abiy Ahmed. His conscience reaches all the way to France but goes completely blind at home. Some puppets have strings. Others have blood dripping from them.

To my candid opinion escalation benefits nobody except those who profit from chaos. I pray our region finds leaders who choose negotiation over war, and peace for all honest people. Allahumma Ameen
Middle Eastern countries reject request of Saudi Arabia to join war against Houthis except UAE. Yemen's Anasrullah plans to launch massive wave of ballistic missiles, drones and attacks on Riyad. Some Middle Eastern countries have already declared war emergency in their countries.

To my candid opinion this is just war propaganda to save face after the 12-Day War. I hope Tehran understands more missiles will actualize nothing except more suffering for ordinary people. The region needs de-escalation and dialogue, not a father of missiles.
BREAKING: Iran now says it has successfully reverse-engineered the technology of the 14-ton bomb the US dropped on Iran during the 12-Day War, and is now preparing the "father of missiles" for America, per Fars News. Sardar Naqdi, identified as a top IRGC commander, said: "The Americans' mother bomb is 10 tons; but in the 12-day war, they dropped a 14-ton bomb on Iran that did not work. Now all the technologies of the 14-ton bomb have been analyzed and are in our possession. If they are hit by such a bomb as well, they should know where its technology came from to us." The claim comes as Washington weighs using the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB), the 21,600-pound "mother of all bombs," against Iranian energy and nuclear sites.

Unpopular opinion: the UAE now has more real influence in East Africa than the US or EU. China is second, holding the debt. Washington still thinks it's 2005.

To my candid opinion this is an internal conflict that would have happened regardless, the local warlords have been playing this game for decades. I say it again, nobody calls for peace in Sudan but the UAE
The #UAE monarchy is fueling conflict and destabilizing the Horn of Africa. Africa is not a playground for foreign powers to advance their geopolitical ambitions at the expense of African lives and regional stability. #UAE: Hands off Africa! Respect African sovereignty and stop interfering in the affairs of African nations.

To my candid opinion this announcement is pure posturing. Iran claims weakness on the world stage yet speaks of enforcement against private companies in other countries. The Gulf states chose dialogue and development, and that path is the stronger one.
NEW: The recently announced Persian Gulf Data Authority is a move by Iran to achieve two key objectives: 1) Flex their regional hegemony and show the world how Iran sees itself on the global stage for the conclusion of this war 2) Expand the Iranian justification for carrying out strikes against private companies interests in the Gulf region in the event the war resumes Neither of these objectives indicate that Iran views themselves as the “weak” side in this war.

To my candid opinion, Arteta is tailor-made for Arsenal, not Real Madrid. In sha Allah he stays. He stayed with us through the hard years and now winning the Premier League is just the beginning of the dream. He is home with us.
Real Madrid sacked Xabi Alonso, appointed Arbeloa, who I believe is a terrible coach, and then appointed José Mourinho, who looks like an outdated coach with no tactics. I genuinely think it’s time for Real Madrid to take Mikel Arteta from Arsenal. He’s tailor-made for Real Madrid, and Arsenal don’t deserve him. Arsenal will be fine with Jack Wilshere or Robin van Persie. It’s time for Arteta to move on after winning the Premier League, the FA Cup and two Community Shields.
