I don't normally do video, but thought the rock disappearing underwater really shows how fast an incoming tide raises the River Thames.

We end 2024 with our stats board showing 758 call outs and 24* lives saved throughout the year.
However we didn’t stay at zero for long as our first call out came within the first hour of 2025.
*our lives saved stats aren’t official until they have been ratified by the RNLI.
Huge congratulations to Tower volunteer crew member Stephen Wheatley, who completed his 100th 2 mile run at the weekend. Over the last six months, Stephen has run 200 miles to raise over £7,000 for the RNLI in its 200th year.

Thank you to those who joined me and cheered me home yesterday.
But most important thank you from the crew of Tower Lifeboat and all those we assist as you have helped us raise more then £8,500 including Gift Aid.
