Hi Tom. Yes. We have not had capitalism here since the mid-to-late 70s. I favor the economic systems of Nordic nations that prioritize public well-being and societal health over corporate shareholder growth. We can learn a lot from many other nations, including Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Portugal, Iceland, New Zealand, Australia, England, Wales, and others.

Alas, there is nothing new about that (think Rockefeller, Carnegie, Stanford and other robber barons). Capitalism breeds growth and increased wellbeing, and we call upon government control to curb the excesses—the latter is what’s DOA today.

IMHO, the prediction thing has gotten out of control. Democrats would be better off with a mindset that they will only win IF people get out and vote. THAT should have started as soon as early voting did. Putting everything off until Election Day was just asking for trouble.
