Elon Musk’s decision to bring Trump back makes it clear to me he wants to turn the platform into Truth Social. I don’t see a place for me here any more.
Goodbye Twitter friends!
"I have known clergymen, gentlemen's sons, men of education, in County Court cells, many of them in rags," an appalled 19th century moralist lamented.

A pleasure to have @barrystrauss on the podcast again. His book on Actium is well worth a read, and I happily recommend his podcast 'Antiquitas'.

I am deeply concerned about the direction Twitter is taking and these types of bizarre blame games about ‘activists’. Get your shit together and drink a cup of commonsense, Elon. Advertisers are clearly alarmed at your management, and layoffs.
Twitter has had a massive drop in revenue, due to activist groups pressuring advertisers, even though nothing has changed with content moderation and we did everything we could to appease the activists.
Extremely messed up! They’re trying to destroy free speech in America.
