When you registered your security keys, the domain was twitter.​com Authentication requests from any domain that is not twitter.​com, like x.​com, are ignored (phishing resistant!) So, you must register new passkeys for x.​com by November 10th when twitter.​com goes away

By November 10, we’re asking all accounts that use a security key as their two factor authentication (2FA) method to re-enroll their key to continue accessing X. You can re-enroll your existing security key, or enroll a new one. A reminder: if you enroll a new security key, any other security keys will stop working (unless also re-enrolled).

To protect your break-glass emergency accounts, FIDO2 keys are the best choice (in most cases). As most FIDO keys allow easy PIN like 1234 or 8888, I'm a big fan of the Token2 R2 keys. They have firmware-based complexity settings that block easy PIN. And they are really affordable as well. @TokenTwo token2.com/shop/category/pin…

Good news from Microsoft 365 / Entra ID. Seems that MC718260 (mc.merill.net/message/MC7182…) is rolling out! Up until now, FIDO2(passkeys) where not supported for interrupt wizard. So if you enforce passkeys with Conditional Access Authentication strengths, and the user has not registered any passkey, they ended up in a loop. Now, the user is redirected to the WebAuthn flow to register a new passkey. Keep in mind that MFA is still a requirement for setting up passkeys!
