This fine example of an Iron Age fluted stele stands by the west gable of the chapel of Ste-Tréphine in Ste-Tréphine (Côtes-d’Armor). It is 2.5m tall and has a flattened top. This card by Hamonic in St-Brieuc c.1903.

For #InternationalDogDay 🐶 this incredible mosaic floor from Alexandria with the depiction of a dog seated next to a gilded vessel. This Ptolemaic mosaic was made using the opus vermiculatum technique (small, closely set tesserae). Bibliotheca Alexandrina Antiquities Museum.
