It doesn’t matter how many people don’t get it. What matters is how many people do.

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be releasing all episodes of my TV show, The Tim Ferriss Experiment, on YouTube— for free.

I'm finally headed to Seoul for the first time! I studied Korean for one semester 25 years ago, but I never got to use it. I'd like to do a quick refresh of the language. Anyone have favorite resources out there for novices?

It’s frighteningly easy to develop pessimistic blinders and lose sight of the incredible blessings and achievements in our lives. This is common when a single identity—for example, job title and function—leads you to measure self-worth using one or two metrics (like income or promotions, usually in comparison to others) dependent on some variables outside of your control. Recalibrate your perspective, and prevent over-investment of ego in one area of life, with scheduled gratitude exercises that take a holistic inventory of the positive people and achievements in your life.

The below 7 quotes have shaped my thinking and changed my behavior over the last year. I revisit them often. “Language can become a screen which stands between the thinker and reality. This is the reason why true creativity often starts where language ends.” — Arthur Koestler “I imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with pain.” ― James Baldwin, Notes of a Native Son “People fall so in love with their pain, they can’t leave it behind. The same as the stories they tell. We trap ourselves.” — Chuck Palahniuk “The truth knocks on the door and you say, ‘Go away, I’m looking for the truth,’ and so it goes away. Puzzling.” — Robert M. Pirsig “Character, like a photograph, develops in darkness.” — Yousuf Karsh “A man is about as big as the things that make him angry.” ― Winston Churchill “I will have to remember ‘I am here today to cross the swamp, not to fight all the alligators.’” — From The Art of Possibility by Rosamund and Benjamin Zander *** They were all featured in 5-Bullet Friday (tim.blog/friday), my free weekly newsletter, which is a short email of five bullet points sent out each Friday. Each edition describes the five coolest things I’ve found or explored that week, often including books, gadgets, tricks from experts, articles, and weird stuff from all over the world.

Tonight or tomorrow morning, take a decision you’ve been putting off, and challenge the fuzzy “what ifs” holding you hostage. If not now, when? If left at the status quo, what will your life and stress look like in six months? In one year? In three years? Who around you will also suffer?
