Have lived in the UK for 15 years now but grew up listening to you calling the Raids. I can still place your voice… just like Jim Maxwell with the cricket. Enjoy retirement.

Tim - a signature sound on ABC radio sport. Congratulations on a great run. I’ve often listened to your descriptions in awe at your ability to find the words for the big moments. All the best. JM.

Outstanding career Tim Enjoy having your weekends back

Congratulations, Tim, on an absolute stellar career. There is no finer or dedicated caller of sport than you, and you should feel justifiably proud of your achievements over many years. Your loyalty and friendship to many has been unwavering. Take care my friend.

Great innings congrats Tim! Time to sit back and simply enjoy the great footy! 👏👏👏🎙️✅

Enjoy retirement Tim, you’ve been a voice to a lot of us growing up in Canberra and wish you all the best 🙌🏻

@TimGavel Congratulations Tim on a stellar career and all your genuine nurturing of sport in Canberra from the high profile right to the grass roots level, supporting so many athletes. You are the “Molly Meldrum” of sport especially in our region.

An incredible career. Congratulations on all you’ve achieved. I hope you enjoy putting your feet up. You deserve it.

Thanks for everything Tim! I’ve enjoyed every call of yours at Canberra Stadium, & it won’t be the same without you. Enjoy your retirement!! #legend

All the best Tim 😎

I met Tim in 1993 & hounded him about the Raiders straight away. 6 years later he foolishly let me hang around the commentary box. 25 years on I don’t have adequate words to express my gratitude to Tim for the immense support & opportunities he’s given me. A true Canberra Legend.

A great knock. Well played, @TimGavel.

Well done Tim. Always enjoyed your calls no matter the sport. You understand the joy of sport and always professional.

Only the great ones last the time that u have & maintain the highest of standards. Never met anyone who gave so much of themselves to others & expected nothing in return. Honoured to be part of journey & call you a 'mate'. The kid from Condobolin has done his family & ACT proud.

Comgratulations on a wonderful career mate. Well done all the best for the future and enjoy going to the footy as a fan. Honoured to get to work with you in the good old days.

Fantastic, Tim. A grand career. Hope all goes well up there.
