Final: 105-92 Wolves win The way I see it only Isaiah Evans and Joan Beringer are guaranteed roster spots from this summer league squad. Which means everyone else is battling for the 3, 2-way contracts. Tonight Zyon Pullin, Nate Santos, and Kauffman-Renn look like the front runners for those spots

Here’s my stab at a Wolves trade for a PG, and it’s not for one of the typical names out there. Kyrie Irving to Minnesota. The Detroit Pistons have held interest in Julius Randle since his departure from New York. In this trade concept they return to that interest in upgrading the 4 position. Due to their start, the Pistons could be privy to part with a first on schedule to be very late in the 1st round. They send over Tobias Harris for salary match and get a major upgrade for the cost of a 2027 and 2029 first round pick. The Mavs, giving into a youth movement, cash in on an injured Kyrie by grabbing Rob and a pick. Harris’ expiring contract gives them much needed salary relied to begin a youth movement with a clean slate. They pick up a draft pick in 2027 and look to develop Rob Dillingham with real minutes Minnesota has refused him. The Wolves make a lateral move to shore up a gaping hole. Naz is capable of a starting role, and finally gets his breakthrough opportunity. They get a future pick back to recoup cost for Rob. Kyrie gives Minnesota a star level PG option who can also play off ball. The off ball piece is crucial as Ant will have the ball often. There’s risk, because Kyrie is older and has injuries. But this could kick the can down the road for Minnesota when it comes to PG. If you can get 2 years of star level production and an additional 2 years of starter level production, I think this can be really beneficial in buying Minnesota time to find a PG of the future. The risk should make the cost of acquiring him more tenable. The deal would leave them with only 13 roster spots but $4.4m in space under the apron. Assuming this deal is close to the deadline, it allows Minnesota to be an aggressive buy out market team to get their roster back to 14 or 15 contracts and remain under the 2nd apron. Minimums are $2.296m in cap hit and are prorated. So if they’d do this deal in February, they’d have able space to sign two NBA contracts and remain under the apron. It’s really hard to gauge Kyrie’s value, so if you’re a Mavs fan I’d love feedback.

Sir, you don't get to eliminate AD's game before he got to play with an elite shot creator. AD played 7 years in New Orleans, made the playoffs 2x in that time period, and won a single playoff series. Luka played 6 full years in Dallas, made the playoffs 4x, and won 5 series.
Replying to @Perrywinkle1267
What happened when Mavs got to the WCF and faced a championship level team? Luka got exposed. AD played amazing in the finals run, he doesn't lose credit for playing with LBJ. ADs game translates to the playoffs better than Lukas. Elite defensive anchor vs cone.

Chris Finch told .@PAOnTheMic that Anthony Edwards was in the gym with some teammates on Thanksgiving. "[He was] basically leading a private pep rally for them, cheering them on through individual workouts, and building confidence in some of the guys who have been struggling."

Rob Dillingham, You Are Cleared for Takeoff The Wolves have brought along the #8 pick at his own pace, but Dillingham’s work ethic & natural ability have quickly become a necessary part of the rotation. Our @TimGarrisonMN & @CharlieWaltonMN chime in ⤵️ canishoopus.com/2024/11/29/2…

Charles Barkley on the NBA’s media rights deal: “I think that you got greedy players and greedy owners. They don’t really care about anything but how to make the most money possible. We should never put money above the regular fan. Everybody can’t afford streaming. There’s nothing wrong with streaming, but when you start just going to the highest bidder and you’re not on regular television, I think you do a disservice to the fan.” (via @SBJ)

I genuinely don't think there was a 2024 Draft outcome I could've been more happy with than the Wolves ending up with Rob Dillingham, let alone Rob Dillingham + another player without giving up any rotation players
