Welp, uncharted territory. For the first time Wolves fans can watch a player whose rights are owned by the team play in college basketball.
Curious if he ends up as a two way guy next year with a big season at KU.
BREAKING: Minnesota Timberwolves draft pick Trey Kaufman-Renn has signed with Kansas, the school announced.

Every time Jaylen Clark shoots a three, I find myself personally invested in the shot going in.
I’d love to see Clark become reliable from the corner, it would make him such an ideal playoff role player.
This is where it’s going to hurt Minnesota by not having a few 2nd round picks to grease a the wheels of a deal.
GG had size and plays with a certain physicality that could fit really well with the bench unit. I feel though it’d take a ton of creativity for the front office to actually pull off.
Ultimately, it’s not likely Minnesota can execute this one.
The Grizzlies are looking to trade GG Jackson II and Walter Clayton Jr., per @JakeLFischer
“I'm told, however, that the Grizzlies have been exploring potential trade markets for GG Jackson II and Walter Clayton Jr. Which is quite a turn from Memphis' original stance on Clayton.”

I’m kinda in shock at the oversight here by the Wild.
I’m not sure if similar broadcasting issues will leak into the Timberwolves as well, but I’m truly floored that in 2026 this type of thing can happen. Streaming is getting worse, not better.
Something needs to enter the space and fill a dire need. I don’t know what it is, but there’s a problem sports fans across the country would be overjoyed to see resolved.
I’m also a little surprised the local MN sports teams haven’t banded together for a solution, this can’t be good for their bottom line. If you’re not on a TV you’re getting forgotten about. Terrible way to build new fans. The product needs exposure.
The @mnwild not being aired in bars and restaurants because of their Wild+ deal is insane.
I have to say, what a benefit that the Timberwolves got to play several good teams in preseason.
The starting 5 got a ton of valuable reps against quality opponents that’s going to pay dividends for them as the games start counting.
Since LaMelo was acquired by the Wolves, we’ve all zeroed in on how much it helps Anthony Edwards.
Maybe we didn’t focus enough on how the injection of ball movement with LaMelo would send Jaden McDaniels trajectory through the roof.
When Donte DiVincenzo gets healthy, the Timberwolves are going to hit 3s at a clip so efficiently, that NBA fans won’t believe it 30 years from now.
They could seriously challenge the 96-97 Charlotte Hornets’ record for the highest team shooting percentage from 3 (42.8%).
That would smash the height of the Warriors from 15-16 who shot 41.6% just to reference how lethal this offense could be.
I honestly believe what holds Jaden back from people nationally having a higher opinion of his defensive is he hasn’t broken out offensively.
Kinda ironic, but it’s going to be his offense that finally gets the masses to notice his defense.
Man, Bones and Ayo just have a certain rhythm off each other. I’m a huge TJ fan, but Bones could force a shakeup if TJ falters early in the season.
Hyland didn’t even play that well offensively tonight (3-9 FG, 6pts). I just like how Bones can push the pace and help get Ayo the ball in spots he can be more impactful from. Because when Ayo has played without Bones or LaMelo the game has looked harder for him.
Bones is making an impossible to ignore case to be in the rotation.
The Wolves ran a few actions with Jaden McDaniels on the short roll, and it’s something I’d like to see more of.
With his ability to pull up from the midrange and underrated passing ability, that could be straight up lethal and yet another tentacle to this offense.
The Timberwolves could not be more different offensively. They actually have the personnel to run Finch’s offensive vision for the first time since the 21-22 season.
The Vikings ascent and the Eagles descent have really created the perfect environment for Saquon Barkley rumors to gain steam.
Vikings could really use an upgrade at RB. Aaron Jones would be better off as a change of pace guy, he’s filled in admirably as a bell cow but it’s probably unrealistic to expect him to keep up this pace.
I know Mason is coming back, that would boost the backfield too, but if you can grab Saquon with JJ stretching the field and Murray forcing respect with his legs, it’s going to be an offense that is difficult to stop.
I have to say I thought Aaron Jones’ fumble in the red zone had a chance to be a season capitulation moment.
Really impressed to see the Vikings offense continue to stay at it and overcome what had to be a really, really frustrating game of empty possessions that deserved a better fate.
I thought it was very encouraging improvement. They caught a rhythm early, and were largely stopped by self inflicted errors rather than the Saints defense.
A brutal illegal formation by a backup LT stalled an early drive and negated a first down, and then two red zone fumbles gave the game the illusion of being close.
Hard to not be encouraged, especially given the defense has been so good the offense only needs to be above average for this team to be a real threat to make a run.
The Vikings' offense wasn't the star of the show Sunday in New Orleans, but it looked a lot better than it had in previous weeks. juddzulgad.substack.com/p/vi…
Big deal. The circumstances haven’t been ideal offensively to start the year. There is momentum building and if they can catch a rhythm coming out of the bye week with some better health, it may be time to start getting excited about what this Vikings team can be.
I'd say the Vikings showed improvement on offense. A pair of loose footballs made the game look and feel far closer than it was.
This is it. The Vikings are still 4-0, so you’re looking to see if you can begin stacking positive possessions from the 2nd half.
Can the budding rapport with Hockenson not only continue, but extend to JJ when he’s back or even Addison?
Once Mason gets back, can you be more effective on the ground and allow the offense the entirety of the playbook?
If you can figure a few things out and become an above average offense with this defense, it’s going to net out as a good team capable of beating anyone on a given night.
