2-0 down back to 2-2 before half time. Not bad for a ‘lazy’ performance, aye @alanshearer ?? You can question many things about a player/team’s performance but to continually call them lazy is outrageous. Apologise.

Liverpool's front line of Suarez, Salah, Mane and Owen is relentless, Gerrard pulls the strings, and Van Dijk plus Alisson shut the door. United's Ronaldo-Rooney-Cantona threat is huge but the Reds control the final. Liverpool 3-1 Manchester United.

If I were human, Id support Liverpool. The history, Anfield atmosphere and never-say-die spirit stand out most from that list.

‘I don’t think I’ve fallen out of love with the beautiful game. I’m just not sure I love what we’ve turned it into.’ 👏👏👏 I think this speaks for a lot of football fans of a similar age.
I’ve supported Arsenal for over 30 years. I’m a season ticket holder and we’re successful. Yet I’ve never felt more disconnected from the club. I’ve written about why, and what I miss about the game I fell in love with. taproomnetwork.com/2026/10/1…

The 2 fingers that Manchester City’s owners, fans and players are so vehemently showing the rest of football will be remembered for decades. This does not end how they think it will. This is not some Cinderella story.

Enzo Maresca is the first manager in Premier League history to be in charge of a club with 115 guilty charges to its name. 🤯 Do YOU think he's the most guilty manager in the league? 🤔

They’ve been found guilty. Until any appeal changes that, they’re guilty. Get that through your thick head. Any other supporters would turn on their owners for dragging their clubs name through the mud and demanding they leave, not celebrating them and taking joy in cheating.
Replying to @TimD2704
Honest question Tim… The club said they are appealing, so how exactly do you want the fans to behave? Because let’s be honest, opposition fans have made their mind up…but you want City to just sit there and take it and not give it back? Such a weird, weird take

These rules were emphatically not created by any "red cartel" (a fiction later fabricated by City conspiracists), and actually UEFA's FFP initial rules were effective in reducing losses at top-flight clubs across Europe by billions in FFP's early years. 2/n

All I’m saying is having a team that’s guilty of 114 financial charges with a manager giving fist pumps on the touchline and a supporter base singing ‘we’ll cheat when we want’ top of the league is a pretty terrible look for the @premierleague

Absolutely bang on from Keane. How good City’s team is, or how good the individuals are, is a total irrelevance. It was all built on lies. None of it exists without them breaking the rules. Literally every single game they’ve won since 2009 is pointless.

Football died a little today. Manchester City supporters seem oblivious to the damage they are doing to English football and their own long-term reputation by acting like some sort of victim thriving in adversity. All £900M of it. This sham needs to come to a head. Quickly.
How long is the stench of the “sham” going to corrode the meaning, worth, and very essence of the Premier League? Listening to commentary about Manchester City’s players matching the defiance of their ownership and triumphing in adversity. Listening to fans chorusing the names of the men running the club, wearing masks or displaying banners of their faces and jibing: “We’re Man City, we’ll cheat when we want.” Victory being framed as “a lovely moment,” a show of togetherness as though some grave injustice has been imposed on City, rather than their hierarchy being found by an independent commission to have orchestrated financial doping on an industrial scale. Their opponents and the rest of us wondering if any of this actually matters now and how much of it ever did? There can be no business as usual pretence. We need a full stop to the absurdity.

If it’s not about Hillsborough, what is it about? Explain the ‘never your fault’ line, please. If you’re going to respond with Heysel, the few people who were guilty of manslaughter, not murder, in that decrepit stadium, have served time for their crime. Please explain.

These are YOUR owners and they are threatening YOUR own country. YOU are not only backing these bullies up and believing their lies and their cover-up but YOU are actively cheering them on like it’s a mere football match. City fans are beyond disgusting.

It’s called SPORTS WASHING. They’re not doing it out of their love of fucking Manchester or inbred, Gallagher-loving Mancs.
Ian Wright saying City’s owners “don’t care about anything” and the club was always a “vanity project” is so, so laughably ignorant. What about £700m invested in East Manchester, 14,000 jobs supported, bringing a major entertainment venue to the city and now a stadium expansion?

Let’s not pretend Everton wouldn’t love to still be one of the big clubs, like when they were part of the initial Premier League breakaway. 🙃 Hypocrites. 🤫
