Remember when they charged Nebraska fans $400 for this one? Still waiting on a comment from @OregonDuckTix
You can get into Autzen stadium for $40 👀 Lots of tickets listed for 54k capacity.. Oregon fans just not interested?
A lot to unpack here. Yes, the people who set and approve prices are responsible for them. Explaining why prices have gone up since 2001 takes a lot more than 140 characters.

You think you are making yourself look good. But all you are doing is exposing the things that not many people know you have been hiding. Which is why everyone is attacking the resale prices. The box office is the reason people are paying more. Plain and simple.
I’ll be clear: monopolies are bad for ticketing. Bad for fans and should not be passed into law.
Lots of conversation here about “deception” and dynamic pricing. Fun read and engagement!
The secondary market exists whether teams participate in it or not. Ignoring it doesn’t make tix cheaper. It often just transfers revenue from team to a reseller. Using that data to price isn’t deceptive. The goal should be balancing affordability, attendance, and revenue.

The primary should be the primary. The secondary should be the secondary. It’s not a hard concept. If the primary offered tickets at prices or order to sell them and not just try to milk fans dry, that’s a start. Teams gotta give up their obsession with secondary market.
So totally ignore sites that have far greater reach and more ad spend than my office or organization does? We’re not going back to 2001.
why would I not want to use more data to make pricing decisions?

Let’s remove the team and seek geek from this because they have nothing to do with it at this point. In your opinion, how should a primary and secondary market work? What’s ideal and fair/dream scenario
Dumb question: why can’t games start at 1 and 4 or 4:30 ET like the NFL? Why is college noon and 3:30? Nobody complains about early nfl kicks do they?
Houston AD Eddie Nuñez tells @HoustonChron that school worked with Big 12 a year in advance about this Saturday’s game being at night to help accommodate Hall of Honor event on Friday night. No. 20 UH was given the 11 a.m. TV slot against UCF.
“It’s unfortunate. I just want to make sure that our fans know that we will continue to work with the conference office and our television partners to get them to understand that, for us, it's important to not have every game be a day game. Our team has earned it. They are a top 20 program and they should have the opportunity to build for our fans to have night games, not just continual day games as we’ve seen here.”
UH has played just one Saturday night conference home game since 2024.
I don’t know why this bugged me. “Our game”… nobody’s dancing or singing mid inning here. This is baseball. Banana ball isn’t baseball.
The perfect send off for a legend in our game. Congrats @JustinVerlander - thank you for everything you have brought to the fans and the game of baseball.
Still no comment from @OregonDuckTix as to why they’re charging visiting team fans SO much more, and really charging the school to pay for their players parents. I’ve never seen it this bad before.
