Would be very surprised if you got thermal issues in a garage from charging - charge efficiency is usually reasonably high and garages are typically not well insulated... that polestar needs a software fix for sure

It's a difficult balance, this is a one in 10 year event and whilst it causes a lot of kerfuffle for a day or so it'd cost a hell of a lot to secure against it... also how far do you secure against it? one in 20 years? 50?... how much would people be willing to pay for that
