So Ohio State is not the same team with out Sayin. So they should be disqualified from the Playoffs. Am I doing this right?

Awful Announcing has obtained documents indicating ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro and Fox Sports CEO Eric Shanks personally lobbied for changes to the Protect College Sports Act that would protect their existing TV contracts. After their efforts, the bill's language was amended ⤵️

This is nonsense. These are huge businesses. They have an obligation to look out for their own interests. FSU has been in limbo for years being in the ACC. Like it or not, it’s the truth. There is a P2 and it will be VERY hard for those outside to compete financially (indeed, even with similar media money). FSU has worked hard to be able to move, and did it with class the whole way. And, for all those who bitched, FSU was RIGHT about the GoR (even if it did not know it at first). Now there is a totally irrelevant proposal in a bill many say is needed. I think it’s an awful and lazy bill and am really disappointed in Cruz, but I get it. Teams want real anti trust exemptions. That can and should be given without adding in totally unrelated conference realignment rules. Those have NO business in this law. FSU and its supporters made this clear when the bill was in the senate. They could have and should have fixed it. They did not. To suggest now that FSU is being unkind pushing to get this changed even if it means the bill goes back to a post mid terms senate is like killing your parents and then begging for mercy because you are an orphan. FSU cannot control how folks respond emotionally. But I am proud of them standing up for themselves and lobbying against stupid and irrelevant provisions that sacrifice a handful of schools for anti trust exemptions for others.

Today, the Palm Beach County Republican Party endorsed Mike Caruso. In August, Mike Caruso was arrested and charged for molesting his own grandson. Republican Party of Florida Chairman @EvanPower must get this endorsement pulled immediately or resign.

He's gone from introducing a bill to stop New York nonprofits using their tax-exempt charity status to fund Israel, to increasing by 150% the funding for a nonprofit that takes New Yorkers to Israel on IDF-escorted tours. Is this the biggest sellout of all time?
I have watched in horror as Israel massacred Palestinian babies in Rafah. In New York, if you donate to the IDF unit that bombed those tents filled with children, you will get a tax break. Tell your legislator: Not On Our Dime! notonourdime.com/takeaction

It is 2021. Hasan Piker tells me to support Fetterman. He immediately governs for Israel. It is 2025. Hasan Piker tells me to support Mamdani. He immediately governs for Israel. It is 2026. Hasan Piker tells me to support El-Sayed. He immediately governs for Israel.

AP voter Greg Luca had Miss State #18 and Pitt #23 last week. Miss State lost by 33 points to Alabama. Pitt beat 4-0 Virginia Tech on the road. You want to know where he has those two ranked in his ballot today? He moved 4-1 Miss State up to #10. He dropped 5-0 Pitt to unranked. Yes, he moved Miss State UP 8 SPOTS FOR LOSING BY 33 POINTS, and dropped Pitt OUT OF THE RANKINGS FOR BEATING AN UNDEFEATED TEAM ON THE ROAD.

If Mississippi States one spot drop feels off to you, it’s because it is. In the history of college football there have only been two cases where a team fell less than 10 spots in the AP Top 25 after a 30+ point loss this early in the season. 1994 Tennessee fell 8 spots 1984 UCLA fell 9 spots So yes, Miss States falling only one spot is not only an anomaly, it’s statistically unbelievable.

Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, USC, UCLA, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, amongst others can leave their conference to better their situation. FSU/Miami/Clemson work on trying to improve their situation and suddenly they’re selfish ???

“We went 11-1 and didn’t make the playoffs” “Play a better schedule” “Ok, let us join the SEC” “No” “Ok, play us home-and home” “No” “Ok, then rank our conference teams fairly” “No” “Fine, let’s just settle it in the playoffs” “No”

It’s the commercials. They changed the clock rules, which cut down game time, and filled that with commercials. Watching a college football game on tv is now a miserable experience. You spend more time listening to Saban pitching products than you do watching football.
Multiple factors, but here are the key reasons imo 1. Games between big programs just feel like two groups of mercenaries facing off. The teams don’t feel as tied to the fanbase or community as much anymore because guys are only there for like eight months. 2. Mercenary teams means sloppy football for the first month. And not in the fun Pac-12 way. 3. The broadcast feels like a vehicle that purely exists to get you sign up for a sportsbook. They have to dial it back. It’s too much. 4. The pregame shows don’t feel like they actually love the sport, but rather just love the conference that pays them more. 5. Vibes are off, generally.

Hi Randy, FSU fan here. I think it’s ridiculous that other programs got to move conferences for financial gain but my program must willingly accept earning millions less year over year because the government is stepping in to pull the ladder up. Hope that provides clarity.
NEW: The Protect College Sports Act is facing pressure in the House of Representatives due to the conference expansion provision, via @RossDellenger: "What’s very disturbing to me, is that we have this amazing bipartisan bill which got 77 votes in the US Senate, where the Moody amendment was passed, and yet, principally Miami and Florida State continue to try and undermine the bill, which even they say is great for the game, over the fact that they want to blow up the ACC when the Big Ten and SEC have told me as recently as today that neither has any plans to expand," New York Yankees president Randy Levine said. Another U.S. citizen and outspoken critic of Israel, this time a Palestinian-American attorney, was detained at Newark Airport and pressured to give feds access to his phone. When he refused, CBP seized it and will most likely attempt to break into it and extract data (using Israeli Unit 8200 startup Cellebrite, which was awarded a new CBP contract last month.)
Federal agents seized a Palestinian-American attorney’s phone at Newark Airport after he refused to consent to a search, despite the phone containing confidential attorney-client communications. ADC is challenging seizure and continued retention of the phone in federal court. Read more: adc.org/adc-challenges-warra…
