My dad is 75 and lives in Iowa. He got the MLB Extra Innings package to watch the Tigers again this year - something he plans his whole day around.

These 2 guys at my poker table just struck up a conversation about the Cleveland Browns and how they’re both from Cleveland.
They then started talking about where exactly they lived. First the town, then the development, then the street all exactly matched up.
The one guy said I know Bud was my next door neighbor and the other guy said “That’s my dad!”
They were literally next door neighbors as kids.
They both know each other’s families and friends but never knew each other because they were kids and like 8 years apart back then.
This is mind blowing to me.

Normalize ending tournaments at a reasonable hour. Basically no one wants to play into the middle of a night. The one exception is playing until the winner but even then if it’s going to be past ~3am either fix the structure or make it another day.
Structures matter.
MGM Opener has 200+ players playing to a winner with 45 minute day 2 levels. Culminating in players playing til 6AM for 300 buy ins.
MGM High Roller closes reg at 11:45PM and bags at 1AM, not close to the $.
MGM 60 person $1500 ITM after 1AM.

Poker tournaments should have a hard stop at 2am. If the tourney runs beyond that, players have to bag up and come back the next day.
It is crazy the amount of times I've seen people playing for hundreds of thousands half asleep at 6am.
