Omg Nayani. You killed it. Thank you for mentioning the Gardiner protest. That was me going YEAH at the back. We must have coffee. Get on with the next hit. It WAS therapy. And also thank you for the focus on the dad and son. OMG. #TIFF22 I'm voting for you for audience fave.

Sunday night plans sorted.
Can’t wait to watch @thisplacefilm in my softest pants, with all the snacks. Can’t believe I just clued in to #TIFF22 Festival at Home! 😅 – at Toronto, Ontario
ALT Devery Jacobs caresses the face of Priya Guns. The actors star in a queer love story about two young women — one Iranian and Kanienʼkehá꞉ka, the other Tamil — living in Toronto and dealing with difficult family legacies.

Thank the gods for waterproof eyeliner. @thisplacefilm is delicate, bittersweet and captures the complicated turmoil between parents and their children and new love. Heart-swellingly good and yes, it will make you cry ❤️😭

@kdeveryjacobs is a force to be reckoned with. The Kanien’kehá:ka actor, filmmaker, #Indigenous advocate and star of the breakout show @RezDogsFX, is showing us that there’s nothing she can’t do.

“I think Tamil, Mohawk and Iranian are not your first assumptions of particular communities that come together…but that's something that can only happen in a place like Toronto.”
