The only chart you actually require to understand the nature of what's happening.
We live in a soap opera, in hell, that's on fire.

For four and a half centuries the world has been getting its geography from a Flemish mapmaker named Gerardus Mercator, who in 1569 produced a chart that was splendid for sailing ships and terrible for almost everything else. It made Greenland look roughly the size of Africa, which is a bit like drawing a house cat and a rhinoceros at the same scale, and it flattered any country that had the good fortune to sit far from the equator.
On Friday the UN General Assembly voted, 164 to one, to retire Mercator in favour of the Eckert IV projection, which shows continents at something close to their true size. Togo led the charge on behalf of the African Union, and France signed up before the ink was dry.
The lone dissenter was the United States, which also shrinks, and evidently minded.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The post incorrectly claims the UN voted to adopt the Eckert IV projection; the resolution endorses Equal Earth and equal-area projections, with France choosing Eckert IV separately.

We’re seeing the ramping of the agent economy. A new population... still early, still mostly directed by humans, but gaining autonomy, running longer tasks, and beginning to transact.
x402 and protocols like it exist because agents need to move money at machine speed.
But at machine speed, things we treat as fixed start breaking apart.
Politics doesnt work because it moves faster than we can regulate. Faster than we can even understand. The financial economy takes on a velocity we’ve never had. Billions of economic agents will be doing things we don’t even see.
Gone are the days of websites and front ends... what’s coming is machine readable, made for machines, by machines. An invisible economy at a scale vaster than we can comprehend.
Thats what my Economic Singularity framework describes. The point where the economy starts moving beyond human speed and human comprehension, and the old ways of running the world stop working.
