That is what I find truly problematic about the whole thing; as an outsider who comes from an academic research background and is wired as a critical thinker. The governance system is intended to largely be facilitated within the confines of their discord server. However, they vigilantly eliminate anyone in there who doesn't firmly adopt their ideologies and directly align with them. They are actively reaping and culling anyone with an even slightly opposing viewpoint in that discord server. They want to then conduct their voting and protocol guidance decision making with that small cohort lol. Cguida refers to this as being more "nimble" actually. In research, this is called selection bias. There is actually a strong case to be made that this is effectively the same guiding principle behind the DATUM implementation. One could argue that they actually don't want true decentralized decision making but rather slightly distributed decision making that is only done by a cohort of tech savvy node operators. Educating miners how to run a node and SOLO mine with DATUM would be the source of truth against that and that is not observable in a material way as far as I can tell. They are not actively trying to educate users in DATUM. They are fine with only their centralized power wielders having that ability. I find the whole thing wildly interesting 😅 but without serious introspective I think it will be the death knell for these guys. No one will take this seriously as a bitcoin replacement ever with these kind of shenanigans in place. Fun to watch though.

Never in all my years have I seen submitting hashrate and securing a blockchain protocol in and of itself perceived as a "hostile attack." There is something deeply unsettling about indoctrination to this degree that flies directly in the face of observable and provable reality. Choosing to ignore measurable reality to uphold an irrational belief is simply dangerous. Its so intense it nearly totes the line of mental illness, imho.

Any space where the centralized power wielding quorum of leaders uses their authority to silence opposing viewpoints? Is not only toxic but intellectually weak. You only actively silence your opponents when your argument honestly cannot hold a candle against them in a real debate. Luke and his cabinet? They know that... They don't want anyone else infiltrating their cult and potentially causing their "plebs" to actually wake up to the wool they are pulling over their eyes. I took the debate out of Luke's personal discord and echo chamber and none of them are capable engaging in an objective, evidence-based discussion in front of the rest of the wider cryptosphere. Evidence shows that Luke himself literally rejects objective data. They only wish to operate within the context of their ardent supports and acolytes who blindly follow them no matter what...
