At the end of the day, Pirate fans know what the answer is and know the Epstein class owners won’t go for it so the next best thing is to drag the game down to failson Nutting’s level
Fantastic proposal
My way of fixing baseball:
-Salary floor
-Increase in minimum salary to $1 million
-Harsher luxury tax pennalties
-Revenue sharing reform (including certian % of rev sharing going toward payroll of those teams who recieve it)
-Limit what percentage of a contract is allowed to be deferred (also based on AAV of contract)
It avoids a hard cap, so big markets can spend however they want. However, it makes smaller markets spend more, and gives them more revenue (and forces them to use the revenue toward the roster). It also at least somewhat limits the spending power of big markets.

The catcher’s mitt simply can’t keep up with the bat
That’s not an insult - the bat is just special and catching is really hard
Could third base be an option for #STLCards No. 1 prospect Rainiel Rodriguez? 👀
Today, Assistant GM Rob Cerfolio said that the club introduced Rodriguez to first base this season and “might” add other positions this offseason
He later mentioned third base specifically while discussing what adding versatility would require of Rodriguez
With no obvious near-MLB-ready third baseman in the farm system, Rodriguez could fill that need while continuing to catch
The 19-year-old is slashing .300/.382/.529 (.911 OPS) with 18 home runs in 263 AA at-bats this season

CARDINALS WIN. That is just a heck of a win. That’s three in a row. Offense couldn’t buy a run but that’s what good teams do they just figure out ways to win. The only important part right now is to #JUSTKEEPWINNING. Need game 2 so bad tonight. See you all soon. Play Free Bird. Birds! #shocktheworld #STLCards
