Hi Russell, considering I am the only Labour Councillor on the authority and I was not at the induction (as I have been here 9 years), this is a complete lie and a breach of standards @reformexposed
Iโm sat in my first Essex County Council meeting on Monday morning, listening to a councillor induction presentation.
โAny questions?โ asks an officer.
A hand goes up.
โYesโ says a recently elected Labour member.
โDo I get a pension as a councillor?โ.
His first question was about how much money he gets. Not procedure, or meeting dates or where the loos areโฆ but how much cash he can grab.

Denial of the existence of gas chambers is a disgraceful assault on the memory of all those people: Jews, Poles, Roma, Soviet prisoners of war, and all other victims. It is also a slap in the face to those prisoners who risked their lives to document and convey the truth about German crimes, as well as to the Survivors who still bear the trauma of their personal experiences.

Hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty. Yet, disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few. It is an unjust scenario, in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.
Do I think mega renewables projects are good? No
Do I think we need renewables and fewer fossil fuels? Yes
What we lack is nuance. We should be increasing all types of wind and solar, but we need to do it where makes sense.
That piece of un-farmable land, that carpark, that factory roof. Every domestic home should have solar and a battery. Every supermarket should generate its own load plus a margin.

Just driven over 100 miles from West to East Wales. Went through four 20mph areas, three took less than a minute to get through,the rest of the journey, 50mph,60mph and national speed limits. Stop listening to the rubbish being spouted about 20mph blanket speed limits in Wales.
