24 teams is a much better playoff than 4, 8, or 12. The more teams that can make the playoff = more games that have playoff implications = more motivated teams longer into the season = more interest in college football as a whole. This is a great thing.

In today’s playoff, you get to listen to talking heads tell you a 2-loss SEC team is better than a 2-loss Big12 team, so the Big12 team doesn’t make it in. With 24, we now get to play the games on the field. It’s glorious.

The amount of people who actually believe these teams wont be playing for byes, home games, and overall seeding is astounding. If anything, the team they’re playing against has more incentive to play hard because they might make the playoffs too.
