A lot of doomerism and crashing out on the timeline, from me included. I’m still insanely bullish though. Genuinely think the absolute worst case scenario for the year is something like this: >Bitcoin sees a significant pull back similar to 2021, bottoming in 2-4months. >Sentiment here gets dark and it becomes hyper weird, trollish, too honest, and brutal for a while. >Might see memecoins that did well in the bear market start to show signs of life here and even recover after everyone gets exhausted chasing the next pseudo-Trump coin. (The beatings will cease when most people stop aping hard and en masse into every little pipe dream.) >Bitcoin starts recovering in 2-4 months and then begins to climb to ATH peaking somewhere in November / December like it usually does. >Multiple catalysts converge around that time (2-4 months from now) to kick off an NFT run. Punks likely to lead it, then apes and pudgies et al. >Good alts and good established memes with strong communities will run hard. (The work to do in the meantime is continue focusing on onboarding to whatever you’re into even when half the space foolishly thinks the cycle is over.) >Solana dominates the cycle >Alts and memes that feel outdated will pump (but weaker than in past cycles) then die by the time the cycle ends and maybe never come back. The hyper normie coded ones might have huge sudden ATH pumps sometime there. In fact I don’t think we see the end of the cycle until DOGE is at ATH. >Think Apechain continues growing, maturing, and expanding its community and use-cases, and becomes a staple in crypto. >Think apechain NFTs reach a boiling point and take off massively >Think Abstract probably has a successful launch, but hard to say what level of lasting impact that will have when Solana is dominating so many aspects of ‘consumer crypto’ and all the on-ramps are there now. >Yuga, led by Garga, announces a few big projects at just the right times, and BAYC reclaims some glory that was taken away during Yuga’s darker, founder-less days. >AI x Crypto finds more engaging use cases than gpt wrapper slop as the tech integrates and more builders try dope shit out. (Ironically, I think tokens with killer founders attached is the key thing to look for). > Everyone who’s been secretly building complex fine art / generative art projects and waiting for the right moment will launch (this being one of several aforementioned NFT catalysts). >A sense of financial nihilism and an almost situationist prank-like critique on markets will continue to exemplify itself. Impossible to understate just how much Trump coin has fucked with the psychological profile of this space. Fartcoin being the most digestible example here probably becomes the meme cycle leader of the year. Obviously not financial advice. Just waxing poetic here and trying to peer into the crystal ball. That’s basically it. More likely scenario is we just keep going up and to the right and most of the above happens on a much faster timeframe.
