Every person should visit a juvenile hall, county jail & a prison. During each of these visits you should sit down & just have conversations with those incarcerated & those working there. The inhumanity & the humanity you will find will change your mind about caging people.

I didn’t have family or friends consistently send me money and my 40+ hrs of work a week was FOR FREE!!!
My artwork wasn’t the best- but ppl loved my handwriting and the personalized poems I wrote.
Sometimes you wake up agitated. With the system, with the sentence, with not being able to be in the presence of your LO who’s incarcerated.

I've never been incarerated. I did do a lot of harm though, I'm a recovering alcoholic. I applaud every recovering addict, alcoholic, incarerated person who shares their story.

There’s a such thing as excessive sentencing & 25 years to life for a gun enhancement is one of the many examples, ESPECIALLY when that enhancement carries more time than the controlling offense otherwise known as the base term. #CancelEnhancements
