A government’s central responsibility is to protect citizens’ economic welfare through sound and accountable policy. When living costs rise, purchasing power declines and households face increasing financial pressure, policymakers must explain the decisions that contributed to these outcomes and outline credible corrective measures. Uganda cannot rely indefinitely on national reserves to manage currency pressures while postponing the deeper reforms needed to strengthen domestic production, create decent jobs and support shilling stability. Citizens deserve transparent leadership, prudent reserve management and policies that protect their hard-earned income without transferring the costs of current weaknesses to future generations. @BOU_Official
Uganda is tapping its nearly $7 billion in reserves to lessen the blow of a plunging shilling, which is the world’s second-worst-performing currency this month after Iraq’s dinar. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
😂😂 The most impressive thing about Man Utd today was their unwavering commitment to making the opposition look like a well-coached team. Such generosity is rare in professional football! 🤣
The 12th Parliament is showing what meaningful oversight can look like. @hon_mpaka deserves credit for the strong lead, alongside Hon. Muwada Nkunyingi, Hon. Amanio, Minister Balam and Minister Byamukama for their respective contributions to scrutiny and accountability. The willingness of MPs across the political divide to examine government agencies is particularly encouraging.
If this spirit continues, Uganda’s development journey will be unstoppable . Those entrusted with public resources should no longer steal in peace and where they still succeed, the space to steal should keep getting smaller. @DailyMonitor @MubangiziMathia @NkunyingiMuwad1 @HonByamukama @BalaamBarugahar @SheilahAmaniyo
Maybe they’re not scared of commitment, they’re scared of committing to the wrong person and discovering the cancellation policy doesn’t exist. 😂 And when you finally decide to cancel, the repercussions can be far more disastrous than the original commitment.@benmwine
I think younger men are becoming more aware of the realities of marriage. Many people in older generations got married because it was “the right thing to do” and some have stayed in marriages they secretly resent. When younger men see unhappy marriages cheating and side chicks being the order of the day, it makes sense that they’d think twice. Perhaps they’re simply being more cautious about what they’re signing up for🙃
From Rome’s timeless legacy to Africa’s future. May we build with the same vision and purpose. 👏🏾
Standing beneath the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome @Vatican, built over 120 years from 1506 to 1626, I am reminded that faith, art, and humanity’s restless search for purpose endure. Let us build a future worthy of the giants before us. 🏛️✨

ABANTU BATOORO, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
TWASWARA!
There comes a time when we must pause and ask ourselves: what kind of Tooro do we desire?
You cannot say you love the baby and then throw it away with the dirty water. Right now, we are doing exactly that, dragging the Tooro we claim to love down the drain.
We are a proud people with norms and traditions that teach us dignity, restraint and respect. Baragirakiki reminds us that even in difficult times, we can conduct ourselves with discipline and decorum.
Right now, we are falling short.
Tutajura ekikaali!
Let us self-regulate. Share less of what embarrasses the institution. Resist heated narratives. Comment less, listen more and lower the temperature.
We are not opposing teams.
There is only one team: TEAM TOORO.
Let us never sacrifice our culture, values and customs at the altar of social media likes and petty divisions. Our disagreements must never become greater than our love for Tooro.
Let history remember us not for the noise we made, but for the wisdom we showed when Tooro needed us most.
And right now, the call is clear: let us rally behind our new King and unite around Kujumura Empango on 29th September.
Let all our energy, goodwill and efforts go towards making it a success and marking this new chapter with the dignity, unity and respect it deserves.
Let us also stop speculating about positions and titles. His Majesty the King will make those decisions, in his wisdom and at the appropriate time. Let us give him that space and respect the Crown.
IN ALL, TOORO COMES FIRST.
#TeamTooro

Total Madness! But I’m convinced Kisanja no sleep might yield results for Uganda. In fact the amount of woke that is going to be achieved through this seriousness esp from @MoWT_Uganda will expose how Uganda has been plundered.
Then comes someone with "gift" of managing an airline !! @AnitahAmong , Ugandans will never forgive you!
This alone is child torture for financial gain @PoliceUg

For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.

Just In: Veteran Ugandan statesman and retired military officer Gen. Moses Ali has died at the age of 87, following a period of hospitalization at Nakasero Hospital. His passing marks the end of a public career that spanned more than five decades, during which he served in several senior government and military positions. Further details are expected as official tributes and arrangements are announced.
News Flash: @elonmusk has reportedly become the world’s first trillionaire, crossing a milestone once thought impossible.
The irony is remarkable: people spend years preaching innovation, entrepreneurship, and wealth creation—then complain when someone actually does it at a scale nobody else could. You don’t become a trillionaire by winning an argument on social media; you do it by building companies that millions of people voluntarily buy from, invest in, or use every day.
Criticizing success is easy. Replicating it is the difficult part.
