The best laid plans… 2026 has been a busy year, there’s been so much growth at @cfaccser, both internally as I’ve worked on systems and the team but then externally with our growing client base. One thing that I used to do was a podcast called “Captains Log: An Accountants Guide To The Galaxy” and I really enjoyed it, plus I received a lot of positive feedback. I took a break after season 1 to refresh and come up with ideas, the problem is that break too longer than the Football World Cup half time show!!! Things got busy, the business grew, the demands grew and the podcast got pushed back. I decided in late Spring 2026 that it was the right time to bring it back, the plan was to launch it after the summer break. I thought the timing was perfect, come back from holiday refreshed and then boom… podcast time! However, what actually happened was this… Come back from holiday (a day late and a dollar short 😉) and book… I get sick! This is weird, I don’t really do sick!!! I get run done, but then I’m able to rest and avoid a full blown cold or flu but this didn’t happen… neither didn’t the podcast, I mean, who wants to hear a podcast host coughing and spluttering?!? But here’s the important part, it doesn’t matter! There’s also next week or next month. The important part is that clients had deadlines achieved, new clients were onboarded and I got some rest and recovery. When something goes wrong in your business. Try to reframe it, it’s probably not as crucial as you thought and you’ve always got tomorrow… #Podcast #Accounting
