Ontario liberals neglected the most vulnerable while running Ontario the same way that Doug Ford has neglected the most vulnerable. Ontario liberals defunded a lot of things from OHIP too. You're both the same when it comes to how you treat people that depend on OW & ODSP.

My apologies to @tylerblack32 this was a typo. This should have been Senator @KristopherWells I have read your feedback about the June report and the committee meeting process and I agree with many of your comments I too found the whole thing gamed and it was very apparent when the the committee went off camera to do many discussions without the public being able to witness the proceedings What concerns me the most is that the the report that was created at the end of the community work in June 2026 only made note of the United Nations crdp treaty committee report closing observations issued in March 2025 once and all other evidence was footnoted at the bottom of the report where it was raised many times by multiple participants Using a footnote completely confirms your claims of gaming of the entire process and is evidence that the voices of people with disabilities are actually feeling about continuing to being silenced from all of the MAID legislation discussions while they are left in deep poverty and have experienced coercion firsthand As a reminder to people reading this post the C7 amendment to the original C14 MAID legislation was passed in the House of Commons using a Time allocation maneuver which silenced over 300 participants who wanted to speak out against the bill In addition many people had requested to participate in the special joint committee and were shocked to see that the committee only sat for eight sessions when it ended and they Committee proceeded to produce their report and present within days of the summer break of Parliament I am severely concerned about the new maneuver to add the advanced request consent as I fear that the government will use these advanced request in a nefarious way especially since premiers are continually discussing the institutionalization of people with disabilities including drug addicts once again. Liberals continue to say that assistant suicide is the personal choice however that is taken away if advanced requests proceed and the decision is placed in the hands of medical staff when the medical staff feel that time for a person to die & not when the person is ready to die I understand you saying that maid needs to proceed cautiously with track 2 but unfortunately it only takes one zealot or a rogue government to end the lives of thousands. History has already proven that that is the case and despite of the safeguards that the maid committees have attempted to put into place no processes infallible especially when the government has blatantly left people with disabilities in poverty for decades and they refuse to get them out of poverty now and sending billions to other countries When it comes to human life Humanity cannot take the risk of even 1 wrongful death to proceed with any expansion of MAID until possibly one day when everyone is out of poverty and treated equally! – at Northumberland, Ontario
