The reduction in foundation fees is good. But overall this feels like a veiled attack on arts/humanities. Arts courses for rich kids who can self fund and shoulder the risk. Science and maths for poor kids who should shut up, stop burdening the tax payer & start contributing.

Too many students are being sold a university education that won't get them a decent job at the end of it. So I'm cracking down on rip-off degrees and boosting apprenticeships to ensure students get the best deal possible. Widening access. Boosting jobs. Growing the economy.

Some weeks ago, a very annoying person on Twitter pointed out to me that I tied my shoelaces wrong, with a granny knot when a reef knot would be far better. Loser, I thought. But I tried it. And do you know what? They were sodding well right!
