15,000 people live in Streatham Wells & right now a small fraction of them are furious.
51% of Streatham Wells LTN don't drive a car & a big share of those who do drive see the benefits of calmer, safer, cleaner streets.

Leaders of UK district councils sign a joint letter of support for South Cambs 4-day week trial.
“It is an innovative approach to tacking several problems that local authorities are facing and it is clear from the evidence you have gathered so far that it is showing signs of success.
The government wants us to become more efficient and save money and therefore must accept all ideas for doing this.
What you are doing is a matter for a local authority alone and the government shouldn’t intervene.”

Us: Yeah no worries! So long as you promise to stop wrecking the climate 🤝

.@ICParkLane is making a huge mistake by hosting the Oil & Money conference.
The Big Oil companies meeting at the hotel are ignoring science, drilling for more fossil fuels and driving the climate crisis across the world.
@ICParkLane should cancel the conference!

I’ve been on these trains and they were a revelation! Amazing - fast, so comfortable, great amenities (even the food was superb) and at a ticket price Britons can only dream of. Infuriates me, and should infuriate you, that UK has given up on all this. theguardian.com/commentisfre…

This is Jonathan Miller taking on Enoch Powell
This is how you expose people like Suella Braverman for the race-baiting, dog-whistling charlatans that they are.

"A tax break of £3.75 bn was gifted to Equinor, enabling the project to go ahead."🤯
That's nearly 4 times the amount of (new) £££ gov has committed for energy efficiency in the last year. And guess which one would have saved households money..

Interesting. How do you think it applies to mooted inheritance tax cuts, retaining the triple lock, axing policies that don’t exist, ignoring the benefits of higher energy efficiency standards for renters, etc, etc?

Sunak claims that by 2030 most cars sold will be electric. But he says consumers must make that choice. Which is absurd when the charging infrastructure has to be government led and the infrastructure to build these cars needs a clear statutory framework.
