How do citizenship policies, border regimes, and immigrant labor economies produce statelessness today? Why do these different “sites of statelessness” matter? And which histories and repertoires do they evoke?
📚 Join our book presentation with @Terminalias, Ranabir Samaddar (@MCRG_CRG), Sabyasachi Basu Ray Chaudhury, and @YuriKazepov, next Tuesday, moderated by IWM Permanent Fellow Ayşe Çağlar: iwm.at/event/sites-of-statel…

🔴116 people lost their lives in yet another shipwreck in 2025. The only survivor was rescued by a Tunisian fisherman. They had departed last Thursday & we searched for them with #Seabird. Today, @alarm_phone confirmed the shipwreck, which occurred shortly after their departure.

For those asking what Palestine reveals about the world - and what it demands of us - this book is one small intervention in a much larger fight.
We hope you’ll read it, share it, and organise with it.

There's a race to the bottom amongst European governments in the way they treat refugees & other migrants.
But 160 civil society associations are resisting this trend, with a demand to Stop the Inhumanity at Europe's Borders.

The director of Physicians for Human Rights–Israel confirmed that Dr. Adnan al-Bursh from Gaza was killed under torture in Israeli custody.
He is one of hundreds of doctors, nurses & paramedics killed and among the many medical staff detained.

To equate a spray can of paint with a suicide bomb isn't just absurd, it is grotesque.
It is a deliberate distortion of the law to chill dissent, criminalise solidarity & suppress the truth about UK complicity in genocide.

White Israelis didn’t allow anyone who isn't white Israeli into a bomb shelter, these Thai people were blocked from entering…
Are you seeing it yet? Unless you are white Israeli, you don't matter.

My call for an independent inquiry into the UK's role in Gaza has passed its 1st reading in Parliament.
We will establish the truth over the UK’s complicity in genocide - and we will bring about justice for the Palestinian people.

Gary Lineker has had an extraordinary career on and off the pitch. A brilliant sportsman, an outstanding broadcaster and a wonderful human being.
For millions of people, @GaryLineker is the face of Match of the Day, but for millions more he is also the face of humility, warmth and decency.
He had the courage to defend the humanity of refugees and to speak out against the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza. That should be recognised, remembered and celebrated.
Gary will be a huge loss to the BBC, but we will never forget the compassion he has shown for others.
Thank you Gary.
