i need anyone to explain to me how arber xhekaj is even remotely good at anything hockey related - hes slow as fuck - he doesn’t even fight as much - people stay take runs at players when hes there - he gets outchanced terribly against some of the lowest competition

This is what I hate about the younger generation, always thinking more points makes you better. They are defence, stop thinking points are what sets the value of a player. DR had lots of unfortunate injuries but is 10x the player the LM is defensively. Habs dont need another small Dman and definitely not another lefty. Awesome they found a solid asset late in the draft, but it is unlikely he plays much in Montreal

If this is true, why not package him to see if you can bring in what you need. Habs- Dach, Xhekaj (this would suck but it’s better for his career) maybe another piece Flames- Whitecloud Gives the Habs that rd they need. Ghule-Dobson Hutson-Whitecloud Matheson-Reinbacher All those lines can log minutes

Idk how you can possibly send Florian Xhekaj back to Laval. Insanely good on the forecheck, winning faceoffs, playing good on the d side of the puck, kid needs to be in that lineup opening night. Idk what Kent Hughes is going to do, but he needs to find a way to make it work

Two things about this. A lot of those contracts were signed before the recent boom in contracts, however, the bigger point is with maybe the exception of Demidov and Hutson, they signed lower values cause they are lower quality players. This is not the top end of league talent.

Why is everyone so negative? Every habs post i see is just either negative or te comments are. If Kent makes a trade to make the team better, great, if not cause he doesn't find the right fit, that's fine also. Making a move to make a move makes zero sense. Moving Hage, Zarovsky, plus for player they will end up being makes zero sense
