Imagine closing *archives*
The administration is threatening access to historical and irreplaceable records, including closing down one facility in California that is home to countless photos and family heirlooms. Congress must exercise its oversight power to save decades of regional and national history.

This is the first I've heard of this. Pass it on, please.
Hey y’all. WE NEED TO BE PAYING ATTENTION TO THE ALEXANDER BROTHERS CASE. Tal, Oren and Alon Alexander are three Israeli-American brothers from a wealthy Miami family. Oren and Tal became powerhouse luxury real-estate brokers selling multimillion-dollar homes to celebrities and billionaires, and represented Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump in their $24 million Florida home purchase. While Alon worked in his family’s private-security business. For over decades all 3 brothers used their status to recruit women through clubs, parties, dating apps and promoters, and lure them with luxury trips and exclusive events, THEN DRUG, ISOLATE and RAPE them, sometimes TOGETHER and with other men. More than 60 WOMEN have come forward saying they were raped by one or more of the brothers. ELEVEN women testified in court! The evidence was fucking horrific: women drugged, incapacitated, restrained and raped. Multiple men and MINORS were involved. Jurors saw texts, emails, photographs and videos. On March 9, 2026, a federal jury UNANIMOUSLY convicted ALL THREE on EVERY COUNT. Seven months later, they still haven’t been sentenced. Now their wealthy Jewish family has hired Alan Dershowitz, Jeffrey Epstein’s and Trump’s former lawyer. Dershowitz’s correspondence says his work includes exploring “executive clemency and judicial reversal.” These men aren’t accused. THEY’RE CONVICTED. Yet this story has received nowhere near the sustained national attention its scale deserves. October 27 is Sentencing day. Keep your eyes wide fucking open. #cornell7 #israel #antisemitism

NEW: Local leaders across Texas are saying the quiet part out loud: Abbott’s “pause” on Flock cameras and data centers will be quickly undone if he wins re-election. Abbott fought to bring data centers and Flock cameras to Texas– and even his fellow Republicans know his sudden opposition to them is an election-year stunt. texastribune.org/2026/10/02/…

Wtf? Why is anyone else's signature on a presidential order?
So company CEOs are signing presidential orders now? That’s totally normal and not at all controlling the means of production.

NOAA launches the weather balloons, floats the ocean buoys, flies the satellites, and staffs the forecasters that tell us when storms are coming. That data supports about two-thirds of the economy, roughly $1.3 trillion a year, and it paid us back $73 for every dollar we spent on it. DOGE took a chainsaw to it anyway. They cut 2,500 people. They pushed out 27,000 years of experience in just a few months. Now a charter fishing captain in Homer, Alaska has spent half a season with no idea what the wind is doing in waters he fishes every day. Kansas got hit by two tornadoes nobody saw coming. Forecasters missed how strong a typhoon was as it headed for Alaska. Farmers, insurers, airlines, and city engineers are all working with worse information than they had two years ago. And now the Trump administration plan is to cut even deeper. They want to pull another $1.6 billion out of NOAA next year. They want to hand the rest to private companies, so your town ends up paying a business for weather data your taxes already paid for, with no promise it will even be right. Wrecking a 73-to-1 investment and sending the bill to fishermen, farmers, and families. Just crazy. forbes.com/sites/alanohnsman…

🚨BREAKING: In New York, an ICE agent was caught on video walking across the street and pepper spraying a woman directly in the face… for film them. In the video, a woman is standing, with several other civilians, on the opposite side of the street. They aren’t blocking traffic, or interfering with an arrest. In fact, you can’t even see an arrest taking place. They’re simply standing there, filming ICE agents from a public place. Then, the ICE agent deliberately walks across the street, approaches the woman, raises his pepper spray canister just inches from her face, and sprays her directly in the eyes. People standing around her are seen running away to avoid getting sprayed, too Only AFTER spraying her do you hear the agent say, “Back up.” And then they turn around, like they didn’t just assault U.S. citizens with a chemical weapon, and walk away. This should piss off every American. The First Amendment protects your right to record law enforcement in public. Pepper spraying someone for peacefully recording… is retaliation. The Fourth Amendment also protects people from excessive force. Under the Constitution, officers can’t use force that isn’t objectively reasonable under the circumstances. If someone is standing on the other side of the street, posing no immediate threat, not resisting, and not interfering… it’s difficult to justify blasting them in the face with a chemical weapon. And even ICE’s own use-of-force standards require force to be reasonable, necessary, and proportional to the threat presented. Nothing in this video suggests that standard was met. This is exactly why people should be concerned about masked federal agents operating with little transparency, or accountability… If agents can walk up to U.S. citizens and assault them with a chemical weapon for recording… that means your constitutional rights exist at the discretion of whoever is holding the pepper spray. And that’s not how a constitutional republic is supposed to work.

1. He's had more than ten years to do this, and now, only in an election year is he talking about making things affordable. 2. He did a state takeover of Fort Worth ISD. He took away the parents' right to vote in the community and threw out the candidates that they did vote for. He installed an uncertified superintendent who is hiring a lot of uncertified teachers to replace the 800 to 1,000 teachers who left. Gov. Abbott is a joke. Vote for @GinaHinojosaTX
Gov. @GregAbbott_TX is traveling to Fort Worth to announce the next phase of his affordability agenda. Gov. Abbott plans to deliver real savings for Texans, lower the cost of living, and keep Texas affordable. More on today's announcement: dallasexpress.com/state/brea…

#BREAKING: Legendary #Maddow: “You know, you live long enough, you realize that there are some days, there are some times, when the bill comes due. You know, you’ve done things in the past, perhaps ill advised, things you kinda knew at the time weren’t a good idea, and sometimes you are able to skate by for a little while, you get away with that stuff for a little while, but eventually you learn in this life, that the bill comes due. We’re having one of those times in the news right now. So for example, when we as a country elected this president, he decided in his infinite wisdom, that he would immediately allow his top campaign donor @elonmusk, to cut whole swaths of US government capacity based on nothing but Elon Musk’s own say so, and his gut feelings. So things that took decades if not generations to build up, some of these things the gold standard government capacity for the whole world, President Donald Trump just said hey, you’re my top campaign donor, as far as I’m concerned, that gives you the right to sledgehammer the US government to your heart’s content. I don’t care, you enjoy yourself. And that is how thousands of subject matter experts, and forest rangers and specialist lawyers, and prosecutors, and scientists, and and and, it’s how all these people lost their jobs and their careers in the US government. But it’s also how we as a country lost things like say a project that had been funded, that was shovel ready, expertly planned, much needed, ready to go, a project to build FIRE BREAKS in the Superior National Forest in Minnesota. Elon Musk and Donald Trump did not care enough or were not bright enough to understand what a project like that might conceivably be for, and so they [killed] it…Trump in his wisdom literally stopped funding last year for the shovel ready project to build fire breaks in the Superior National Forest in Minnesota, so there would be less to burn, so it would be EASIER to fight any fire that did break out…He and Elon Musk stopped the funding of that project and so now, the bill has come due. The Superior National Forest in Minnesota, as we speak, is on fire. Thank you DOGE. Thank you Donald Trump…”🙄🤦‍♀️

Dawn Baldwin Gibson voted for 35 years, showed her ID, did everything right. Her ballot still got swept into a 65,000 vote mass challenge after a candidate lost. Months later she still didn't know why. That is what voter suppression actually looks like on the ground, not an abstraction.
In February, it was already clear that the administration would make multiple attempts to manipulate the elections. From the Autocracy in America podcast: theatlantic.com/podcasts/202…
