🚨Green Card Holder Sentenced for Scamming Elderly Victims Franco Fuentes is a Peruvian national who received the blessing of a green card in America. He then started defrauding elderly victims of hundreds of thousands of dollars by posing as a bank employee and tricking them into surrendering their bank cards, In one instance, Fuentes sent a rideshare service driver to an 80-year-old victim’s house and then used her cards for withdrawals and purchases totaling over $43,000, including $22,000 in purchases at Apple stores.  Another victim who lost $56k wrote to the court: “This experience has caused me significant emotional and financial stress. As a 72-year-old woman, I never expected to have to deal with something of this magnitude. I experienced ongoing worry, fear, frustration, and anxiety while trying to understand what had happened, protect my accounts, and work with the bank to resolve the unauthorized activity. The situation disrupted my sense of financial security and left me constantly concerned about whether my personal information and finances were safe. The financial impact and the amount of time and effort required to address this identity theft have been extremely stressful.” Today, Fuentes was sentenced to 57 months in prison and ordered to pay his victims more than $270k and forfeit property seized from his residence, including over $37k in cash.
