Community is a verb. It's an active, real-world experience that creates a feeling of belonging and support. Nothing drives this idea home quite like having spent a week with teams of girls from around the world, hosted by @Boeing_In India Engineering & Technology Center.
Thank you to #TeamBoeing who showed up to help with everything from security and tech setup to feeding and encouraging our excited teams. This season Boeing engineers also mentored participants, shared their expertise, and inspired the next generation of innovators. You truly made our first international World Summit and our 20th anniversary year a memorable one.
And to Salil Gupte, Praveena Yagnambhat, Stacie Sire, Ritu Sharma, Nikhil Rao, Shashanka Jha and Shalini Grover - you all made this possible.
22 young women founders. 11 AI startups. $10,000 in equity-free funding for every team. Yesterday was AI Ventures Accelerator Demo Day in Gurugram. Thank you @GoogleIndia for hosting and @GenUnlimited_ for building this with us.
AI Ventures Accelerator (AIVA) is about to launch!
On October 6, 22 young women entrepreneurs will come together at Google India offices in Gurugram to showcase their projects.
Built by Technovation in collaboration with UNICEF’s @GenUnlimited_ , AIVA provides young women founders with six months of support and $10,000 in equity-free seed capital to develop solutions to real-world challenges.
Through this partnership, young women are strengthening the skills, knowledge and projects they need to build pathways to livelihoods and become #WorkLifeReady.
Stories featuring this season's finalists are are pouring in from news outlets around the world.
Noura took a problem we've all experienced and created a solution that's getting interest from like-minded builders in 17 other countries. Dinner prep just became a group project that saves time and money.
See you in Bengaluru, Noura (we promise we'll handle the dinner).

Two years ago, Technovation finalists flew to California and pitched their apps at EA's Redwood City campus.
This year, @EA is our Continental Champion for Asia Pacific. They are sponsoring an incredible team by documenting their journey to World Summit in Bengaluru, India on October 8th.
👩🏾💻👩🏻💻 Twenty-two founders. Eleven companies. Six months of building.
Next week they share a room in Delhi for the first time, and then they pitch.
The AI Ventures Accelerator (AIVA) is built by @Technovation in collaboration with UNICEF’s @Generation Unlimited to support young women leaders to develop their ideas, strengthen their skills and take the next step in their #WorkLifeReady entrepreneurial journeys. 🚀
Through AI, they’ll connect with fellow entrepreneurs, exchange experiences and share the solutions they have been developing to address challenges they see in their communities.
Over the coming days, they’ll have the opportunity to take their work further, build connections and prepare to pitch their businesses at Demo Day on October 6.
World Summit finalists are pitching at Boeing India headquarters. 15 teams take to the stage, hosted by one of our oldest partners. This is the lifecycle of real world problem solving and a global mentorship model.
✨ Our new website is LIVE! ✨
It’s a better way to tell the story of who we are and where we’re headed next, from our 20-year history to our growing work in AI.
And with this season’s finalists getting ready to pitch their ideas on the world stage, we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.

Are women at risk of being left behind in the AI wave?
According to @TaraChk, CEO of @technovation, the answer is yes. With the stats she shared, it’s clear that the social norms placed on women are holding back women from becoming the early adopters of AI tools.
✨ Her biggest piece of advice to women is… don't just use AI - learn to code with it to give yourself a superpower and secure your place in the future! 💻

You’ve probably heard @ericries’s ideas before.
He coined “vanity metrics” and wrote The Lean Startup.
Now he’s asking a harder question: how do organizations stay true to their purpose as they grow?

🎙️ NEW EPISODE ALERT 🎙️
In this inspiring and thought-provoking episode of the HumanizeHer Podcast, hosts sit down with @TaraChk, CEO and Founder of @Technovation (formerly Iridescent). Tara shares her incredible personal trajectory, growing up in India surrounded by formidable female role models - her grandmother who built a school from scratch at age 65 and her mother who joined the Indian military as a doctor at age 43 - and learning hands-on mechanics from her father.
Tara discusses dropping out of a PhD program after seeing her aerospace research used in military drones, pivoting her life to address the gap of women and underrepresented groups in STEM. She details how Technovation grew from a local cafe meetup with 45 girls into the world's largest global tech accelerator for young women, impacting over 450,000 participants across 120 countries. The conversation tackles critical modern challenges, including the seismic impact of AI, bridging the gap between education and the workforce, re-evaluating diversity and inclusion strategies to bring male allies and majority groups along, and the crucial importance of building a "safe sandbox" for new learners.
Episode Highlights:
💥 Unconventional Beginnings: Raised in India where societal norms pushed girls toward home science, Tara was encouraged by her family to work with her hands, fix cars, and pursue physics and aerospace engineering in the U.S.
💥Birth of Technovation: Spurred by the realization that many young women in the U.S. lacked self-efficacy in math and technology, Tara founded Technovation to give underdogs the tools and mindset to become innovators.
💥Real-World Global Impact: From California teens building AI models to categorize invasive weeds to an Indian participant creating a road-monitoring app that led to a Google internship, Technovation builds problem-solving muscles in young girls to address community and world-changing issues.
💥Scaling Through Innovation: How Technovation transitioned from in-person workshops to online curriculum platforms (with partners like UNICEF and over 16,000 global volunteers), aiming to reach 25 million girls in the next decade.
💥Navigating AI Wave & DEI: Tara outlines why AI is a tidal wave to be ridden rather than feared, emphasizing the dangerous gap between rapid AI adoption in the workforce and bans in public school classrooms. She addresses how women risk being disproportionately affected by AI job displacements and advocates for project-based AI coding education for all youth.
"Find the right problem to orient your life towards, and honestly, everything else falls into place. Don't just stop at using @claudeai or @ChatGPT - code with it. Don't be afraid; nothing will break. Find a simple problem that you have in your life and actually learn to code, because it just gives you a superpower." - Tara Chklovski
