Best idea I've seen is Graphene (and others) should adopt a "Decoy Home screen" and phone wipes in the background.
- Duress pin is entered
- Device wipes
- Skip setup and show standard android home screen so you can't tell it was reset at first glance
First known US case: American charged for using a “duress” password
Samuel Tunick, an Atlanta resident, is being prosecuted for allegedly giving border agents a passcode that wiped his phone.
The feature comes from GrapheneOS, a privacy-focused Android OS. Entering the duress code triggers a full factory reset.
This is believed to be the first time federal prosecutors have brought such charges.
The incident happened in January 2025 at Atlanta airport. Agents demanded access to his phone without a warrant, saying he hadn’t yet officially entered the US. When they entered the code, the phone wiped itself.
Tunick has pleaded not guilty. His lawyers argue the seizure was unlawful and that agents were investigating his activism against “Cop City.”
The case raises big questions about digital rights at the US border.
What do you think?

We added a car wash system to the game, and it's so relaxing that we're constantly washing cars instead of developing the game

The Dreamcast build is now running at 56~60 fps in the city stage, which is significantly better than the PS2 build when everything was running on the CPU. 60 fps on PS2 was only achieved by moving a lot of workload to VU1 microcode.
Got bored tonight... someone in a #nfs discord server I'm apart of said
"I wish we could mod the PS2 version of NFS HP2"
wish granted.
#modding #ps2 #customization more comin soon hopefully! Anyone want to help? The tool is python based
Epic Games got tired of Git. So they built their own version control system. Then gave it away for free.
This is Lore. Announced at State of Unreal 2026. Open source under MIT. Available right now.
Git was never built for game development. When you are working on a project like Unreal Engine or Fortnite you are mixing source code with massive binary files. 3D models. Textures. Audio. Build outputs. Files that are gigabytes in size.
Git handles large binary files through a bolted-on add-on called Git LFS. Perforce handles them better but it needs a live server connection for everything and nobody outside your company can build tools on top of it.
Epic said none of the existing systems solved all three problems together. Large binary handling, offline work and an open specification. So they spent years building one themselves.
Here is what Lore actually does differently:
→ Works completely offline. Commits, branches, switching — all happen on your machine without touching a server.
→ Every file gets a unique fingerprint. Identical data is never stored twice across files or branches.
→ Large files are broken into chunks. Edit one part of a multi-gigabyte file and only that chunk gets re-uploaded.
→ Your machine only holds files you are actually using. Everything else gets pulled down on demand.
→ Built in Rust. Core library, server and CLI all use the same interface. No special privileged commands.
→ Official SDKs for JavaScript, Python, C# and Go ship with it.
Perforce licenses cost tens of thousands of dollars a year. Git LFS is a workaround that was never meant to be a solution.
Lore is free. Written in Rust. MIT licensed. And Epic just put it on the internet for anyone to use.

23 major news outlets, including The New York Times and USA Today, are now blocking the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine from saving copies of their articles.
They are doing this because they do not want AI companies to use the archived pages to train large language models.
This surely protects their content from scraping, it also limits public access to historical news records.
It makes it harder to track how stories change over time and preserving journalism
I'm sure I'm gettin nothing done with work tomorrow because of @Broadside_ 's new album
