My husband casually mentioning he wants a table saw got me thinking... Two months ago I would've forgotten by dinner. Now, I just open Gift Bot and type 'Matt mentioned a table saw.' It adds it to his list, researches the best ones, and will watch for sales ahead of Christmas. Then it also occurred to me that other people might benefit from Gift Bot too! Gift Bot will keep running ideas for everyone in your life for you and never suggest the same gift twice. Setup is three questions: who matters to you, which holidays you celebrate, and their birthdays. Meet Gift Bot. 🎁 I’ll put the link in the comments.

I see combustion cars converted to electric all the time. I never see it the other way around though, which says quite a bit. An electric motor fits easily into an engine bay. Your old car instantly becomes more powerful and efficient. It's an upgrade, so you see people doing it. On the other hand, you need a lot of space for the engine, and a tunnel for the exhaust and transmission. It's a lot of work in return for a worse car. That's why nobody does it.

Starship Flight 14 launch and orbit was a success, but what did the launch sound and feel like form Port Isabel, about 5 miles away? Here is a visual & audio experience almost as good as being there! If you haven't been to a Starship launch, you really need to plan a trip! @esherifftv Sound UP!

I was talking to someone recently and they asked me why I spend so much time on X. It caught me off guard but, I think they had the same perception of it that a lot of people do. X is different. It feels like a live feed of what’s coming next. People are building things, testing ideas, sharing what they’re learning, arguing about what the future looks like, and sometimes accidentally creating the next big thing in the process. You get to see all of that before it gets cleaned up, packaged, and eventually reaches everyone else. That’s what keeps me coming back. And @japan_nobunaga can’t forget about those stories lol What do you use X for?

The reach issue: As of a few weeks ago low-effort quote posts are getting many times more home timeline recommendations than most original content, and even the posts they are quoting in many cases. Being controversial or not fitting inside specific boxes now causes Grok to be more likely to predict negative indicators, which carries a huge weight. Incentive structures are one of the most dangerous forms of censorship because it isn’t immediately obvious. Fixing this is extremely important for free speech @elonmusk and few understand how much. Another thing I noticed is that small accounts can post the same thing as big accounts (many hours later) and often get significantly more views. I fully support small accounts going viral, but only with high-effort original content. Then, as you get bigger, it becomes easier and easier to go viral. That way, when small accounts grow, it actually means something. Personally, my best thing is to cover events on live TV, get content nobody else has, then make original edits and posts with it. As of a few weeks ago, it is sadly now better again to post low-effort content. That takes away the excitement. The for you feed is not as fun as it was the first 6 months of the year. In my opinion it isn’t even close. I rarely sseldomisagree with anymore either. Why are the incentive structures turning this way? Who is making the decisions? I don’t see how it makes any sense and it is upsetting to feel helpless about it. I really hope that is changed because I miss doing what I was doing before and I miss the previous for you feed. I love spending 12-hour days making original content after big news events. There has to be reliability in going viral when you post high-quality content and have a large audience who enjoys it. Whatever part of the algorithm has taken those things away is demoralizing and is putting the platform on the wrong trajectory. I don’t want to sound ungrateful. The opposite! I am voicing this because I love the X and want it to be the best it can be.

Two good people. Martha and Smokey. Different parts of the country. Different backgrounds. Both pure vibe. Check ‘em out. Sometimes good content is actually good community building. These two cats do both.
Can yall please take a moment and send @Smokehbear some love? This guy promotes "community" like no other. Not just a Tesla community, but humanity in general. He tries to help anyone he can. He added Santa hats on our profile pictures to spread joy. He is like an unofficial defense representative for banned accounts. He made Glow Up images and merch to unite his friends even more. He wants to boost every genuine account he can. He is probably the best Spaces producer out there. He does all of this and has a family, a job, a Tesla club, and other IRL activities. He does this for the love of people. Thank you Smokey. You do so much for all of us and I feel you don't get enough back. 💕 Yes I took a screenshot of your image, don't report me please. I tagged you. 😝
