"Where Liberty rises, there virtue grows, wealth increases ...and in strength and spirit the freer nation rises... Where Liberty sinks, there virtue fades, ...and empires once mighty in arms and arts become a helpless prey to freer barbarians!" - Henry George, "Ode to Liberty"
Henry George: "They who look upon Liberty as having accomplished her mission when she has abolished hereditary privileges and given men the ballot,... have not seen her real grandeur — to them the poets who have sung of her must seem rhapsodists, and her martyrs fools!"
To every American, and to everyone watching France burn from abroad:
Do not blame the French people for this.
We never asked for it. We never voted for it. And the one time we were clearly asked, we said no.
Here are the numbers your media won't show you.
70% of the French say there are too many immigrants in France today.
79% want a tougher immigration policy.
77% disapprove of the government's record on immigration.
83% want foreign criminals and long-term unemployed foreigners sent home.
And no, it's not just the old. 69% of French 18 to 24 year olds support suspending legal immigration for three years.
This is not a fringe. This is the French people.
In 2005, we were asked if we wanted the European Constitution. 55% voted no. Three years later, our politicians passed the same text under another name, through parliament, without ever asking us again.
That is modern France in one sentence. The people say no. The elites do it anyway.
So who is responsible? The politicians who lied to us. A class of leaders formed in the same schools, the same forums, the same networks, loyal to each other before they are loyal to their nations.
In 2017, at Harvard, Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, bragged about his Young Global Leaders program in four words: "We penetrate the cabinets." He added that it was true in France. Emmanuel Macron was one of his Young Global Leaders.
It's the same project in Brussels with Ursula von der Leyen and in Paris with Macron. Borders treated as an obstacle. Nations treated as relics. The people treated as a problem to be managed.
What you are watching in France is not the French people failing. It is the end of the globalist project, an abject, quasi-communist dream of a world run by unelected planners. It is collapsing everywhere in Europe at once, and the West has to cut this cancer out before it takes the rest of the body with it.
The peoples of Europe don't want this. They never did.
So when you see our town halls burning, don't say "the French chose this."
The French never chose this.
They were forced into it.
If you're French and you agree, repost this so the world hears it from us.
If you're American, look at us carefully. Then choose differently on November 3rd.
The only real free enterprise system is "single tax" (tax land ownership and nothing else).
Capitalism vs communism is a puppet show funded by landlords. Wealth centralization is a feature of both systems. The only way we can have individual freedom is with equal access to land.
Wealth concentration is not caused by free enterprise, but by the profitability of owning land as a collectible. Obfuscating the land issue is what keeps the capitalism vs communism debate alive. And it's also what truly prevents the proletariat from achieving financial freedom.
It's easy to understand why basic economics isn't taught in public schools. Keeping society ignorant is how those in power are able to exploit generation after generation. As long as land, everyone's life source, is a profitable store of value, wages will tend toward subsistence.
True. That's probably why they moved it.
#EarthDay will be far more effective in reminding everyone that Earth belongs to everyone if we MOVE IT BACK to the #SpringEquinox! (April 22 is a random date with no relevance to the planet Earth.)
Please, sign the petition at Change.org/EquinoxEarthDay
You hear lots of people talk about #homelessness and about #housing prices, but you never hear them connect the two and it's easy to understand why.
Some say abolishing all taxes except on land ownership (the #SingleTax) won't raise enough public revenue. But if land becomes cheap and labor becomes expensive, how much public revenue will we even need?
The original "Earth Day" (on the first day of Spring) is a genuine georgist holiday. We should all sign this petition!
Return "Earth Day" to the first day of Spring! - Sign the Petition! c.org/RtNRmGtZjM via @Change
Earth Day was originally on the 1st day of Spring so it can remind everyone that Earth is everyone's common inheritance and that we all depend on her for our survival.
Mainstream media tells us to blame each other instead of the system that creates economic injustice.
Replying to @remarks
It's the same in France and China: pensioners earn more money than people who work. It's literally like eating the future of a civilization🚨
In Greek mythology, the Titan Cronus ate his own children to stop a prophecy that one of them would overthrow him.
The reason capitalism is flawed is the same reason socialism is worse. Freedom, not manipulation, is the way to achieve social harmony and fair wealth distribution.
Fairness, efficiency and sustainability are natural conditions, not artificial outcomes manufactured by government manipulation. Once society is allowed free association and equal access to land, reality will be a beautiful thing rather than a struggle to survive and thrive.
Why complain about systemic poverty, but never advocate for economics or the history of economic thought to be taught in public school? Is it because systemic poverty keeps you in power?
